Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've been many times and it is great. There is a lot to do and it is pretty big considering it is the old Skoda (car) factory. Even if you aren't into science, its fun to try out all of the interactive displays. There is also a big indoor playground which features a human sized rotating hamster wheel, a castle which you can run about in, that has multiple levels, a fake concrete (the soft, squishy kind) lake which has a little bridge on it which is wobbly and you have to balance on it, a big slide that empties out into a foam pit. There is a little "music centre" for kids which you can make little tunes. This is all in the playground.
There is also a water play area that is very fun, and if you have been to the Science Museum in London with the water area, it is similar to that but much bigger. That is just outside of the indoor playground. In my last visit, there was also a construction area where you can go on machinery and move the sand, but I didn't go on it. As you can see, it is fantastic for kids, even if all they do is play in the respective play areas.
For English speakers, I don't recall there to be a lot of English translations on all of the displays, but there were some, and most of it is pretty self explanatory, just the scientific reasoning behind it,
It is pretty much fun for all ages, I enjoyed it as a teenager with my younger cousins, as well as my grandma. There is also a planetarium right opposite, which requires a separate ticket, or a ticket with both Techmania and the planetarium. Personally as someone who isn't a fan of space, I'd say it is pretty good, and the displays are interesting. The planetarium is pretty kid friendly, as is Techmania.
The restaurant is canteen style with decent food, although its not somewhere you can get a hearty lunch from. There are also lockers which you can rent out to put your things in, but aren't too big, but I recommend doing so. Toilets are good, and there is pretty decent parking although I do remember having to circle a few times to find a parking spot, but that is pretty normal in Czech. To fully enjoy it, I'd say to dedicate at least 3 hours, more if you have young children as it is hard to pull them away.

This place, built in Skoda company works, is really massive and is basicaly devided into two part. One is the Science center in its own, which is well equiped, fun and educative. Second one is 3D planetarium with space exhibition. The price is reasonable and the place is equiped with all facilities including restaurant.

This is an excellent place for children aged 5 to 95 as it is both hands on fun and really gets you thinking about the practical aspects of physics. If you thought you never understood physics at school you will come away with a better understanding as well as having had a good time. Parents with children will love it.

If you’re in Pilsen with rainy or cloudy weather you should go to techmania! We were surprised that there just were kids with their parents but it’s for adults as well! Super interesting and easy explained in games or visual!! Must see!

We were visiting second time already. New exhibits was excellent surprise, especially at this time maritime was very good.
Movies was 3D and English was available via headphones.
There wasn't so many other visitors so no queues or any other waiting.
We enjoyed whole day there from opening until closing. And still some things we haven't yet tried.
So until next time!

If you have a time and you are interested in indoor technical activities, you have a best choice in Pilsen. Techmania is a best offer for education. It´s not a exhibition like you know.

Amazing place with many interesting science tricks. This center includes planetarium, which is amazing too. We had just one day but I recommend to plan more shorter visit. It is difficult to keep focus. :)

If You will make a trip to Techmania, you should plan at least 1/2 a day to comfortable go thru the whole exhibition. We stayed only 2,5 hour and we were unable to see and try out all exhibits. And the Planetarium we did not visited at all. Especially for children is the time spend here very excited, but this means not the adults will be bored. That is not the case. We surely plan to come one more time and spend much more time here in Techmania.
