Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Gothic, Renaissance and baroque sculpture Art permanent exhibition, collection of works from the Museum of fine arts, which points out to the roots and of "Christian people in relation to God, man and world", magnificent St. Barbara chapel with very rare Gothic frescoes dating back to 1460, the exhibition hall in the Baroque dining room, in my opinion one of the best musea in its kind ever seen!

We enjoyed this visit. So much catholic history and art. 90 crowns - Fransiscan Monestary and Museum of Ecclesiastical Art. We had a guide (she didn't speak much English but was so kind and near the end she engaged a young woman who kindly translated for us).

This museum is a must for all travelers. It is located in the Franciscan Monastery located in Pl zen, Czech Republic. The relics in this museum and painting and sculptures are hundreds of years old. A testament to the faith of people in God, Goodness, and Hope. It is currently managed by Franciscan Monks and Nuns. If your would like to have a free tour please contact me, an American Expatriate. Contact me by email kressg@yahoo.com and I will be delighted to guide you at no cost. There are many other sights to see, the Cathedral built before Columbus Discovered America, the Russian Orthodox Church. The Lutheran Church and school and the Roman Catholic High School to name a few.

I think this is one of the best religious museum what we have ever seen. The former monastry was wonderfully renovated - the artifacts are real gems. The Saint Barbora chapel with it paintings from the 14. century are amazing! The "Jewl Case" and the Monastry Library are both great.

Surprisingly, this is one of the better religious art museums in Europe. Friendly staff, plaques in English, German, and Czech. Everything very very informative! The museum doesn't just tell about the statue or painting, but also the theology behind it. Simply put and easily understood. Set in a beautiful old monastery.

This excellent antient art museum is hidden within old medieval walls of the Franciscan Monastery which is located in the very centre of the city just a hundred meters south of the main Square of the Republic. Exhibits feature old sculpures and paintings related to the christian faith. The St. Barbara chapel is a unique examlpe of gothic frescoes. Tha monastery and museum are worth the visit.

First of all, the building, a Franciscan Monastery is breathtaking!
We started with the church itself and was a very peaceful and oh! moment!
The pieces inside will amaze you, but the architecture, always the architecture, will do an amazing job as well!

V Muzeu je velké množství církevních památek, krásná kaple a jsou zde pořádány výstavy. Muzeum je bezbariérové, v blízkosti náměstí Republiky. Vhodné i pro rodiny.

The Diocesan Museum located in the old Franciscan monastery. The building itself it is a medieval pearl of Pilsen and you can find there for example tiny medieval street, which leads between the defensive walls and walls of the building itself or beautiful gothic chapel of St.Barbara with old medieval fresques. Exhibition itself consists from a lot of sculptures and paintings related to christian faith and few newly re-constructed rooms of old monastery. I highly recommend this place especially if you like architecture or arts.
