The church is open in the day and when I visited there was no one around. Lovely quiet spot to escape the street for a little while.

The foundation stone of this Roman Catholic church was laid around 1265 but the construction of the main building was probably only around the middle of the 14th century. The church went through major repairs in 2011-2013. Entry is free.

Like all Gothic/baroque churches in the Czech Republic, this lovely church, right next to the main town square, is well worth a visit to admire its architecture and beautiful baroque decor. And we will not be competing with tour groups!!

WOW! Wonderful church in a great setting and it is so beautiful inside. We were lucky to see inside, when we returned on the Sunday morning it was closed.
