If you want a long walk in beautiful suroundings then Ardingly Reservoir is the place to walk. It will take a couple of hours to get completely around, but its worth it.

Stunning scenery, unobtrusive signs and fantastic bird life. I had a lovely visit here with family and friends and found it a perfect venue, even in winter. Not being a great twitcher or having a great knowledge of birds, my favourites were the Robins, fluttering...More

The viaduct is beautiful and is only a short walk through some fields from the reservoir. Worth visiting if you're in the area. The reservoir looks like it has some nice walks around it and has a cafe.

It's easy to do a walk that starts at the car park, passes the Gardeners Arms for lunch and returns on the other side of the reservoir, about 3.5 miles. There is usually some activity involving boats, and plenty of wildlife, so enjoyable in any...More

This is a nice walk with a path around the reservoir. The path goes in and out of tree areas so if it's hot you can get a little bit of shade. Lovely for a picnic. Very pretty. Suitable for a short walk or a...More

Took the children and dog for a stroll around the reservoir - the dog absolutely loved it and the children liked the wooden sculptures in the wood. Lot's of parking, however, it costs £1 to enter and you can only pay with coinage.

Hello no I am afraid you are unable to use your own canoe there. But if you go to the Anchor Inn at Barcombe there is a river there and you can use your canoe. There are also boats for hire.
