Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Small car park that was very busy. Quick walk to the falls - about 200 steps and beautiful scenery the entire way.
Plenty of water flowing with lots of people getting close for photos.
Wal back up was more difficult but completed very quickly

Beautiful falls. Well worth a visit. Wear proper walking shoes or trainers. We saw people in flip flops (thongs as they are called in Australia). The walk down to the bottom of the falls is worth it. Parking area is small (space for about 8 vehicles) but it is a short stop so people come and go quite quickly.

Visited just after the massive downpour across Victoria and the falls were definitely flowing! Doesn't take long to walk down to the base platform but there are plenty of stairs, some quite steep, so prepare yourself for the way back up. If it has been raining in the area, it can get quite muddy on the path making it a bit slippery. Bit of a narrow road on the way in and out and a bit bumpy. Also, there are no toilets here - closet one is at the Redwood Forrest a few minutes away.

You cannot park with a trailer as there is only space for between 3 and 5 cars. To get down you need to walk a few steps. We went on a rainy day. The steps had mouchy mud. You just need to come equipped with good shoes and a raincoat. At the bottom you only find a plateforme, you cannot swim.

It was our first stop on our 2 days trip to the Great Ocean road. It was an hour walk from the parking area. It was a nice view and worth the walk. We took some photos of course and just took our moment to enjoy the scenery. We got confused tho on our walk back as there were no sign on the exit or arrows to guide you - the trail was a bit of a mix up too. But we made it. Personally, it is Best to do the visit to the forest first then do the 12 apostles visit last.

A stunning and breathtaking waterfall and really gushing after so much rain. It is a steepish walk down and back up but so worth it. You see it from a platform to protect the area. It is a magic experience amongst the tall mountain ash and the unfolding reaching ferns.

Now these falls are lovely but make sure you are fit as it is quite a walk down and an even harder walk up those steps. If you look closely once you are down by the falls, you may be lucky to spot a platypus. They were quite beautiful and even though you can’t get really close, as there is a platform, it is worth the hike.

What a beautiful part of the world. I would highly recommend the walk. Do be mindful that their are some serious steps to come back up out of the falls. So if you have knee issues or immobility concerns this may not be the walk for you.
If not highly recommend to witness this beautiful spot.

There were many steps leading down to the falls, which were quite steep in places. Easy enough if you're fit and able (we are in our 70's). Very peaceful and scenic walk to the spectacular falls. Very worthwhile visit.

Short walk from car park to small lookout with good but distant view of the falls. Longer and steep walk down to the waterfall base for a much better look. Not large falls but lovely bush setting and good for photos. Steep climb back up to the car park. No picnic facilities.

Not according to the online guide available. Check out the Otways walls and waterfalls guide (google via visit great ocean road org website) to find out where you can take your dog on lead.

If we are to drive over from Apollo Bay, would Binns Road be the best route?
My mode of transport will be a toyota corolla.
Thank you!

Totally agree with Terry, it's not a bad road and there is so much more along the way.
Well worth the drive.

Yeah not at the actual falls. The closest legal one I know of is the Wonky Stables Holiday Park, which is 9km from the falls.
Here's an awesome site for camping in Aus too if you're looking for other spots in the area. Definitely hit up the info centers in the area though for most up-to-date info.
