Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Oh my, stunning views. You walk down hill. We went on a rainy day. The floor was all mouchy. Just come well equipped with shoes and a raincoat. You not only get a lovely view from the platform but also from underneath. Just jump over a few rocks.

A gorgeous half hour walk to the falls through luscious forest. Once at the falls the views are beautiful. If taking your time, can take about 1.5-2 hours for round trip, or can be done in about 45 mins if moving quickly

The Falls and the nearby campsite are temporarily closed. Due to logging and construction in the area. There is a sign across the access road to the Falls saying the area will be closed until 1st June 2021

Very disappointed to drive all the way from Lorne in June 2020 to find both the road to the falls and the falls themselves are closed to visitors for work, the signage indicated from April to October 2020. However the relatively nearby Hopetoun, Little Aire and Triplet falls were open.

I camped at the Beauchamp Falls free camp ground for two nights last weekend (Australia Day). The camp site itself is great, and can accommodate more than the 12 advertised camp sites. It's dog friendly too and lots of people had their dogs with them the whole weekend.
The waterfall itself is a 1.5 hour walk from the campsite/car park, winding through gorgeous misty, dense rainforest, along the trickling creek, mossy trees with interesting fungi growing. Once at the waterfall, there is a metal staircase to a viewing platform at the top, or a muddy slippery, stony track to the bottom. The waterfall cascades down a single rock face so it is very dramatic. Photos at the bottom really capture the full scale of it and the lush surroundings. We spent ages here getting some long exposure shots. It was quieter than many other waterfalls nearby like Triplet falls which was heaving with tourists. It's a bit steep to climb back as the last 15 minutes are uphill. But overall a very worthwhile hike - even despite the hair pin windy road to get there!

The walk just gets better and better as you descend into the valley. The forest starts a bit dull and open, but soon you are surrounded by tree ferns, with gurgling brooks running by, and towering gums overhead. When you reach the waterfall, it is simply breathtaking. A lovely waterfall, surrounded by this dense, lush greenery. It took our breath away. There are multiple angles to see the fall from too.
The walk is fairly easy, with no steep parts, except once you reach the waterfall. The walk back is almost all uphill, but at an easy enough incline. Definitely worth the effort!

Easy walk down to the falls and beautiful photo opportunities. Walk back is more challenging as is uphill most of the way

Not too far of a walk, car park, toilet and camp site at the beginning of the track. Pretty family friendly!

Beuchamp falls is a beautiful waterfall which is well worth the walk. The walk takes roughly one and a half hours return and requires a moderate fotness level. If you have weak knee joints, i wouldn’t recommend it as the walk requires strong knees. The walk itself is well sign posted and the stairs are all well made and sturdy. The walk is mostly dirt tracks and occasional rocks. The car park is fairly large but from the car park to the main road is dirt road (about 5kms of dirt road)
There are toilets there and a picnic area. But there are no taps to wash hands and it's a composting drop toilet. The walk was worth it as the falls were breathtaking. I would recommend beuchamp falls if you've done the main Ocean Road previously.

Mind you this place take lot of walking to get to. I think it took closer to 1.5 hours in return. Park the car at the camping grounds and stroll through the amazing rain forest.
You can view the waterfall from the viewing platform or climb down few more steps and go to the base of the falls. They both give you unique experiences. I encourage you to do the both. It had lot of water when I visited so it was a really nice experience.

Does this walk have many stairs like Erskine falls or is it mostly flat with an incline?
Written 23 June 2018
Mostly flat dirt track with inclines but not nearly as strenuous as Erskine falls.
