A Hidden Little Gem!
Dec. 2020
A hidden little gem! This wonderful little museum has displays showing the history of Bribie Island, some of its characters and the creatures of its marine environment. Always interesting and worth a visit. Provides holiday activities for children. Located at the southern end of the esplanade at Bongaree, with plenty of parking, except at peak times.

Really Informative
Nov. 2020
This was a really great way to get to know the island. It has a rich and varied history. The museum was well set out, and not too large. We spent about an hour there, which gave us sufficient time to spend in the different exhibits. There's something to interest everyone....from preserved fish specimens to war bunkers to famous artists. Well worth a visit to get to know the island!

Aug. 2020
With a group of our social club members we truly enjoyed our visit to Bribie Island Seaside Museum. The docuumentaries were very well written - actually read heaps because of the great writing style. Well laid out, heaps of history (even a replica of Matthew Flinders Black Cat :-)
the Seaside Museum showcases Bribie history in modern surroundings and lovely welcome by people who worked there. Thanks you

Great museum with free entry. Lots to see & discover. Loved the history & story of the island. Also contained interesting exhibits about local artist Ian Fairweather & discovery & exploration of the island by Matthew Flinders. We loved it!

All about Matthew Flinder
Feb. 2020
The museum was delightful. Free entry. The staff gave us a presentation of what we could expect. The main feature was about the discovery of Bribie Island by Matthew Flinders. There was a display of fish (dead) given to the museum by the local fishing club. There was several models of ships used by Explorers. The Endevour, The Norfolk and the Koopa. Very well done..
