Nice wines, great service

Had not tried these wines before and was well pleased with what I found. The Sevenhill Riesling was particularly good.

Travel a bit longer to get there!
Jul. 2021
We haven't been here for years and really liked the new setting which was a great place to sit and taste a flight. At first we thought the tasting fee was a bit expensive but when the wines were brought out they were generous serves, enough for both us when one was driving. We were also provided with a couple of bonus tastings from our very helpful, amusing and down to earth host...sorry we didn't get her name but it was late Sunday 18/7. Not every wine to our taste but I jotted down 3 we liked which is the whole idea of a tasting. Its a little bit out of the way but worth a visit.

Great cellar door, highly recommend!

We stopped by Jeanneret wines at the end of a day exploring the Clare Valley. A lovely table on the deck was reserved for us and the tasting was great. There is also a brewery so beer drinkers have something nice to try as well.

The winemaker was working the bar and was really friendly and helpful in answering questions about the wine. He also had a really cute dog! There was loads of space on the deck for our group (which included kids) and it was warmed by a fireplace.

The vibe was laid back and relaxed but still had quality service and attention to detail. I signed up for the wine club and had some wines shipped to me in VIC.

Highly recommend stopping by if you are in Clare for the weekend.

Happy Friday

What a lovely greeting we both received on arrival! We were very happy to pay the $10 tasting fee & enjoy the delicious wines, whilst sitting out on the deck. The setting is picturesque amongst the majestic gums, the sun shone & we were happy. Thankyou Grady for your delightful service. We will return.

A ruinous experience
Oct. 2020 • Friends
On previous visits to the beautiful Clare Valley, Jeanneret stood out as a wonderful experience, with a spirit of great vivaciousness and generosity. As a birthday week getaway, four friends ventured north to sample the delights of the Clare. Our first stop - Jeanneret. I am most saddened to report the visit could not be more different to what we’d previously experienced. Covid has certainly had its impact, and has forced a change in how business is conducted, but this cannot account for the surly and disinterested service we received on what was a quiet day. Eye rolls at our very presence, and a total lack of engagement from the woman who seemed best suited to a behind the scenes role. The horridness of service aside, it should be said that while I’ve no objection to a paid tasting, the way it is structured here is sub-par - and seems to stand alone within the Clare as being unredeemable upon purchase. This would be excusable if not for the poor standard of service, but the sum total of the experience means we won’t return.

Disheartening microaggressive racist behaviour.

Disheartening microaggressive racist behaviour.

We are a young British Asian couple and presented ourselves to the winery today.

As soon as we walked in we got scornful looks from the receptionist who had no interest in telling us about the wines or the wineries history but was rather busier talking to what seemed regular customers about their daily lives.

We were then required to pay upfront for a taster session and offered no introduction to the wines at all.

A Caucasian man then walked in (another customer) who came in requesting to pay for the taster menu he had just had outside. Clearly indicating that he was offered his taster menu before having to pay up.

We soon left after with a bitter taste to an otherwise excellent Clare trip.

We regret coming to this winery and wish we had just stuck to all the others where we enjoyed their wine, excellent hosts and bought over 20 bottles of wine.

We didn’t want to write this but we figured that as westernised Asians who speak English as a first language and understand all mannerism typical of Australia and the UK - if we received this kind of treatment we receive then I shudder to think how this winery treats those who don’t speak English well or don’t know the culture. We thus felt compelled to write this so at least the owners know what is happening on their shop floor.

Needless to say, we will not be back and will be actively discouraging friends and family from visiting until this issue has been addressed.

Friendly service would help ...the person serving was uninterested and rolled her eyes at a simple question from my friends

Okay not great
Feb. 2020 • Friends
Seemed to take ages to get there and once there it was okay. Friendly dog who loved lots of pats. Didn’t really like the wine but hubby and friend liked the beer! Good price also, $80 for carton or $20 for six pack!

Good for beer drinkers as well
Dec. 2019
We were looking for some boutique beers to take home to a friend & this fitted the bill. The staff were friendly & helpful & quickly put together a selection for us. There was no pressure by them for us to try anything & we thought we would visit again when we had some time & sit in their lovely grounds.
