Hi Jason, Thank you so much for your kind review. We're chuffed that you think it was the 'best bush walk ever'! We pride ourselves on creating unforgettable nature-based experiences for our guests, and believe that even the less obvious details such as supplying 'recyclable toilet paper' when nature calls and towels to dry your feet after crossing the Wolgan River make the difference between a good tour and a great tour! We look forward to welcoming you and your family back again soon on another one of our award winning ecotourism experiences. Best wishes, Kristie Kearney | Owner & Founder Wolgan Valley Eco Tours

We were incredibly fortunate that after a week of rain resulting in slippery tracks, Kristie kindly offered to drive us up Newnes Plateau to access the Glow Worm Tunnel through the shorter 1km easy walk from a nearby car park. She perfectly timed the excursion, leaving early to enjoy the drive with frequent stops to get out and enjoy scenery whilst receiving incredibly knowledgeable commentary on all that we saw. The early start also meant we didn’t encounter too many other tourists inside the tunnel & we could switch off our lights & enjoy the amazing spectacle in the dark and in silence. Using red light to show us the “worms” close-up meant no disturbance of these little critters. Great eco-friendly behaviour that I wish the authorities would encourage. Even though we missed out on the usual longer scenic walk, the trip was the highlight of our stay in the area. The morning tea was scrumptious! A huge thanks to Kristie for enabling us to witness this natural spectacle notwithstanding the weather 👍

Beautiful hike and a nice length. The tunnel is amazing and the glow worms were literally like stars in a night sky. The tunnel is very dark and feels spooky, but so worth it!!

Hi Emma5b, Thank you for your kind review. We think your review may be for the Glow Worm Tunnel Trail (either from Wolgan Valley or from the Newnes Plateau) but that's OK we'll claim it. We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed the bushwalk/hike and that you look at glow worms the same way we do - literally like stars in the night sky. It is pretty amazing. If you are ever back in our beautiful region drop us a line. We'd love to be able to share with you even more of our special part of the world on our award winning guided walking tours. Kind regards, Kristie Kearney | Owner & Founder Wolgan Valley Eco Tours
