Don’t bypass this beautiful part of South Australia .. Fowlers Bay, it is just beautiful. The cruise with Rod and Tyson was the highlight of my trip. We were up close and personal with dolphins, seals and sea eagle up against the stunning backdrop of the sea cliffs on the southern ocean. Thanks Rod for showing us the last frontier .. just stunning

What a great cruise around Fowlers Bay!! No whales - BUT great to see the dolphins & seals and the coastline.....rock formation spectacular!! Thanks Rob.....your passion & love for what you do shines out & you are very informative & such a lovely friendly man!!! What you said about the 3 W's you cannot control....this made me laugh!!! Hopefully next year the whales are back in Fowlers Bay & I will be back!!! Whale numbers down this year BUT we were lucky to see Cows & calves at Head of Bight the day before!! Tyson....great deckhand & he too loving what he is doing....also he makes an awesome hot chocolate!!! Well done to you both.....enjoyable 3 hours....Cheers Lynette

Although we chose to visit Fowler's Bay during the worst season for whale numbers in 15 years and we did not see any whales, the trip with Rod and his crew was fantastic. We had a small group on board and were able to sit up front as Rod told us an incredible array of information about the whales. Rod answered all our questions (and there were many), was super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The trip itself around the beautiful bay was worth it alone, even without wildlife. The sand dunes and azure blue waters are unbelievable and at the end of the trip we visited several groups of sea lions, including a huge male and several super cute little ones. The next day, when we went to the Head of Bight and actually saw some cows with their calves, we had a wealth of background information already, thus making that experience even better. Thanks Rod for an amazing tour.

I can't thank the owner/operator of EP Cruises, Rod Keogh, enough for his incredible tourism operation. Rod's enthusiasm and protection for ALL things in the marine world is infectious...thank you, Rod. This year, 2023, has been the most difficult to read in EP Cruises 15 year history of delivering SA's best Southern Right Whale Watching tours. My company, Teague Tours, has brought just under 400 guests to participate with EP Cruises over an 8 year period and despite the "lack" of whales this season, my guests were gob-smacked with Rod's wonderful knowledge and his personal disappointment of the situation. Having wonderful guests myself, who realised the situation (having been updated by myself & Rod), made me feel proud of their acceptance. I cannot rate EP Cruises highly enough and look forward to supporting such a wonderful business in years to come. Brilliant operators need to be supported now and in the future. You're a great man, Rod and your product is seriously A1. Cheers

Even though we didn’t see and whales on our cruise, we loved every minute of it! The commentary was very informative and interesting. Rod had a lot of knowledge about the area and the wildlife. After the cruise we stayed in Fowlers Bay for lunch before heading back out. Friendly crew.

It’s been such a difficult season with low whale numbers nationwide. So glad to hear that we could still create something special that you could enjoy.

No Guarantee of seeing whales. Southern Right whales don't leap out of the water, or tail flap. Go to Hervey Bay in QLD for that. Plus on this tour, was seeing dolphins and seals. Go out on calm day if feeling seasick. Not much else to do in Fowlers bay apart from fish and relax. Owners start at their pace. This tour was nearly 3 hours. Great crew and informative.

I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your cruise. Unfortunately 2023 has been the most challenging year in our 15 years of operation. The whales are in exceptionally low numbers nation wide and even the scientists are scratching their heads. But then again, nature is nature and even Harvey Bay operators can’t guarantee whales or interactions. In addition to that, they have humpbacks which have entirely different physiology and behaviours than the rare southern right.

We had a fantastic day out with Rod. We did see one southern right whale and her calf, dolphins, sea lions, and seals. The coastline was beautiful, and the sun came out, making it a perfect day.
Rod is so pleasant, happy to answer all questions, and tries his hardest to give the passengers the best experience. Fowlers Bay, his home, is stunning. Brilliant sunrises and
sunsets. Highly recommend this tour!

5 star reviews well deserved. Informative, fun. loved seeing sea lions and dolphins too. Colours of sky, sea, coastal cliffs and sand dunes stunning, changing constantly. Enjoyed tea and hot chocolate on board.
Were even able to see menus of 2 local lunch spots (not part of EP cruises). Placed order while on boat and had delicious pasta, apple tea cake and excellent coffee waiting for us at Fowlers Bay Kitchen on our return. With water view, on the Esplanade. A few doors to the left, the Kiosk does fantastic fish and chips and you can enjoy it on their waterfront deck (which we did yesterday 👍).

A really memorable cruise in a remote. less touristy, lovely wild place.

Last week had an amazing few hours on Rod's boat and after dropping anchor beside some sea lions had our lunch served up by Rod and Tyson, who had donned his wetsuit and harvested our lunch from the sea bed then cooked it for us! Can't get fresher than that. It was an amazing experience overall, something everyone should try
Rod and Tyson are very knowledgeable and went to no end of trouble to explain how things should be done and they were a great pair of blokes!
