Really enjoyed the tour of Verdi's house and garden. We were a bit disappointed that they only had tours in English but it was still enjoyable.

This is a very nice place to visit. It again gives life to Verdi, his wife and his life style. Be aware, however, that the guide mainly speaks Italian, so for English speakers thing may be a little difficult. But, it is still worth a...More

It's truly special to visit this place, not because it overwhelms you with facts and features or equipment, but because of its genuine feel of Verdi. One must appreciate maestro's realised vision of the house, gardens, park and the property as such. As complex and...More

We have been, my wife and I, in this magic place where you can improve your spirit of music. You must pay attention at the timetable for visit, so it's better phone them in advance. You are accompanied by a very good guide and maybe...More

The Villa is near Busseto, a nice little town not far from Piacenza or Parma. The building itself is not impressive but has a beautifull botanical garden with a gingko biloba tree/Chinese tree of life/very rare in Europe. The lady-guide told us about Verdi-the very rich...More

We were driving past Sant'Agatha, and as we had to be in other city by the end of the day, we had very limited amount of time to visit Villa Verdi. As such, I've made internet booking for 2:30pm to be on safe side. Upon...More

We visited on a very hot day. The parking was confusing and the docent spoke no English. There were plenty of factors to ruin our visit, but it was wonderful! We were the only visitors, and the docent gave us a complete tour. Even without...More

The more you know about Verdi, Strepponi and their life, the more you will appreciate this wonderful place. So many interesting things eg Verdi's short bed, not because he was short, but because he never slept lying down; he slept sitting up supported by pillows....More

A very special place for any Verdi enthusiast. You feel as if you have gone back to the time when the Maestro and his wife lived here. Many interesting pieces of furniture, pianos, paintings, posters, prints, musical scores, books and memorabilia in every room. Particularly...More

It is quite a way from Milan and there is no direct connection. I would suggest to go to Parma first and arrange a trip from there. It's closer and I would bet there are some specialised travel agents. Or best: rent a car.
