Nice old bridge - impressive building - but not really worth to travel the long way from Marbella through the mountains

You will pass this bridge on your way to or from the Arab Baths and it is a great reminder of the workmanship and ingenuity of the Romans and how they travelled in to the city whilst still retaining a control over the access.

My wife and I were staying in Ronda and decided to walk down to the Arab baths. The Roman Bridge is down at the bottom of the hill near the baths. Lots of history surrounding the old bridge and some nice views of the Old...More

We visited Ronda on our way in the region, and we are very happy we made the diversion. The city is built across a ravine crossed by a few bridges, the most famous of which is the roman one. The views are spectacular and worth...More

Had there not been a sign near the Arab baths, we would have missed this bridge. Watch for cars that seem to suddenly arrive.

This bridge is to be found at the lower level of the city on Calle Molino de Alarcon where the river Guadalevin passes under it. It is a very simple structure, composed of a single, centre arch supported by solid piles. From this bridge the...More

This is at the bottom of the cliffs, by the ancient Muslim baths. You can walk there from the town above but hell of a climb back. All very interesting, but not spectacular.

Located in the gorge below the old Town the Roman bridge is close to the Arabic baths. The climb down from the town is steep but worth it, especially when looking up to the Puento Nuevo (new bridge).

Roman ruins allow you to contemplate history and think of all the changes that have taken place in Spain. This bridge crosses the Tajos River and is still standing virtually unchanged after many centuries. We didn't walk across it but admired it from a strategic...More
