The museum building is very modern and well maintained. We did not know the local artist, but were pleasantly surprised by the quality and style of his paintings, I would not mind having one at home. The few Picasso items were disappointing.

As well as the very good permanent exhibition of Peinados work there was also a small selection of Picasso ceramics. a bit underwhelming and not as intersting as the various styles of the local painter. Sadly we didn't realse this closes at 17.00 so didn't have as much time as we would have liked

This palatial building has an extensive collection of Peinado's works and in addition some lovely Picasso ceramics and prints. Didn't know anything about Peinado prior to visit but this famous 'son' of Ronda has certainly been honoured in a fitting way.

For me this was a highlight. To find such a collection of art in a provincial town comprising Picasso and Peinado waa a revelation. It is a beautiful building and a great setting for any exhibition, and even better given the class of items. Get away from the tourists and become a visitor to Spanish passion, heart and style.

Initially I was reluctant I have to say but so pleased we spent time here. The art of Joaquin Pena do is outstanding, particularly his cubist influenced paintings. A friend of Picasso, there is a subsidiary gallery dedicated to displaying Pablo works as well. The gallery is gorgeous itself, a beautiful space for the purpose. We bought a ticket at... More

Interesting place where you can enjoy the works of senor Peinado through his artistic life and at the same time enjoy some of Picasso's work both paintings and pottery work.

I came upon this hotel while wandering through the streets of Ronda, and it was well worth the visit. The Picasso collection alone is worth the meager 4 euro entrance fee. A quiet museum with few guests -- the better to enjoy the modern art.

Set in the centre of old town this museum was a great find. Some beautiful paintings and great value as it's included in the €10 tourist pass

We found this museum through Rick Steves' book. One commenter somewhere described Peinado as "Picasso's friend," implying he was just a copycat or not as good as Picasso. While, yes, he was a contemporary of Picasso, and he started out very Cubist, he seemed to branch out into his own thing. The museum was a bright and serene space. It... More

We had never heard of Peinado. It appears he was a buddy of Picasso. His work is interesting, obviously going through several changes over the years. The highlight was the beautiful gallery as much as the paintings but we enjoyed both.
