Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a hidden gem just off McCarr's Creek Rd in the National Park. A pretty little waterfall and a deep swimming hole. Travel up McCarr's Creek Rd from Pittwater end and park opposite the Duck Holes walking track and its a very short walk of about 100m down to the swimming hole. There is a bit of climbing to do to get in and out, so this is not suitable for very young children. Our ten yr old managed it easily. Be sure to scout out the location of rocks under the water before jumping in, or take the easier sandy route into the water.

A beautiful spot that very few know about on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. A fresh water swimming spot away from the crowded beaches.

If you don’t have time to visit North Qld and enjoy it’s wonderful waterfalls with freshwater swimming waterholes - you can do it in Ku-Ring-Gai national park. The place is easy to find, but not easy to reach as there is no proper track from the main road. It feels like a small adventure - climbing down the rocks to get to the bottom of the waterfall. Kids can enjoy jumping into the water, while adults can just relax in the warm fresh water. There are no amenities there, so you better be prepared.
