Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The shed cafe served us a delicious mean with well trained staff & a location that's unparalleled. The beautiful Akuna marina is a real haven in a fabulous part of the world & definitely worth a visit.

One star for service but I gave them two because I'm a nice guy. Not our lucky day at the Shed in Akuna Bay. We had a very long wait for two coffees. I went to the trouble of specifically asking for cups and saucers, and could not have made myself any clearer, and they gave us takaway cups. I didn't want another long wait as we had our day to get on with, so accepted it. The coffee was expensive and the counter was understaffed. They probably made the error because they were run off their feet.
As it's the only coffee for miles, maybe we'll take a thermous next time and have a wander. It's beautiful down there!

Had lunch at The Shed. Fish and chips and calamari. Very generous portions average price. A great view of the marginal.

Service is adequate.

If you are a boating enthusiast this is a lovely spot. Even if you are not a boating enthusiast, it is still a lovely spot :) Views are lovely and overall atmosphere. There is a cafe on site but it was closed perhaps due to COVID. Looks like there is a function area where you can book as there was a wedding reception on the day we visited. Beautiful marina and beautiful boats.

Relaxed booking process, beautiful setting, tasty food. We brought visiting out of state family members and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Gorgeous looking cocktails, made better when our kindly waitress fixed my sisters order (she had accidently ordered the wrong thing) so appreciated - thank you! Declared the roast chicken dish and the smokey pork burger the best ever, while the tirramasu was also a highlight. Left full and happy!

We were there midweek and it was just so relaxing being able to sail around the area and select our mooring. As others have said, it can get very busy at weekends and peak holiday times. There are some stunning beaches accessible only by boat....go explore!
Lots of wildlife too so take binoculars.
