Absolutely amazing Roman ruins, hard to describe in words or photos how impressive it is. Allow yourself a couple of hours to see the site. There are information boards at different areas giving you the history which are very detailed and well illustrated. We also...More

Dougga is one of the best preserved Roman archaeological sites in North Africa and well worth the 2 or so hours drive out of Tunis. Like most such sites in Tunisia you can pretty much wander where you choose. There's usually an English speaking guide...More

It's a must see, once in a life time. The place is historical (167-169), imagine that. You can learn in silence about Roman Empire. Very inspiring place.

This Roman Ruin is an incredible heritage site in Tunisia. It's just amazing to see the preservation. It's about roughly 110 km from Tunis. The site is an excellent example of Roman/Byzantium life and governance. A wonderful experience. 5/5

I really enjoyed this - there's so much here that's preserved so you can really get a feel for the town. You can even see the track marks from the old carts. Mosaics, Roman baths, the town hall - I would definitely revisit this place.

Dougga is about two hours from Tunis. I hired a car to drive me there and to the ruins at Bulla Regia. If you like to explore ruins, this is a very fun sight as there are many different ancient streets and paths winding through...More
