It's an important water reserve for Rome and therefore kept well and clean. No motorboats, some amateur fishermen and lots of sailing. Because of the drought this summer lots of water was pumped to Rome and the lake went down some 1-1.5 meter. And this...More

Beautiful setting away from busy Rome if you need a little rest bite. Small beach shallow waters for younger children to play in and quiet considering we went in August. Well worth a trip and only 50 minutes from from Rome

The lake views are gorgeous. We stayed in Anguillara Sabazia which was lovely. I'm not sure I would return; I prefer Northern Italian lakes. But there is a primitive charm here and it is less touristy than some lakes. I missed taking a boat ride...More

Been there for a wedding of a close couple of mine. Loved the experience entirely. Bracciano is a quaint village by the lago. A must visit.

We were in Bracciano for a month and never grew tired of this beautiful lake. Waters are clear and cool and mountain, town and castle views. There are several restaurants and water activities. For a day of relaxing or water sports, kids and adults loved...More

Yes of course you can. The beach is volcanic black sand and pebbles. You willneed to wear plastic shoes into the water as therer are pebbles but the water is pristine.
