We visited this castle as we were recently passing through the area. Stopped in at dusk. The grounds are beautiful and it was quiet and serene as we walked through the hollow castle. If we had more time, we would've hiked the trails. Definitely worth...More

I stopped here with a friend to check it out and it is a beautiful piece of property! The castle is really cool to walk through. There isn’t a lot posted about the history of the building however. And only the downstairs is open with...More

Started our Saturday drive by just looking at the map and deciding we hadn't driven in that direction. Once we started we began to google for places that might be on our Saturday drive. Squires Castle appeared. Beautiful setting. Wonderful for families & picnics. We...More

We loved visiting. We got there just as a storm approached and hurried into the castle and just listened to the rain. It's just a really neat place to see. We wouldn't recommend making it your only reason for going to Northeast Ohio, but it...More

We spend a few hours here every late summer with our extended family (about 20 of us) for a picnic, ball games on the massive lawn and exploring the castle. Great place

We had many a picnic at this site in the beautiful Metropolitan Park system. Lots of barbeque pits and picnic benches. Ball fields. But best of all is the cute castle which is a great place for kids to climb and dream. I did!

This is often too crowded with people taking photos in the summer. The trails around this unfinished stone building are the real gems of the area.

Squire's Castle is an intriguing hollowed out castle located on beautiful walking grounds. It's a quick stop to stretch your legs and get some unique pictures and have a picnic on the lawn or a place you can spend the day, hiking the many trails...More

Its a small quaint castle in the metro park. Great place to picnic, play some sport on the grass and just relax. Good hiking trails

Although the castle is a perfect backdrop for wedding photos and the perfect pretend play space for kids, there is so much more to do here! Trails lead out to various parts of North Chagrin Reservation and picnic tables and restrooms make this a great...More

Leading up to and around the castle, from the parking lot, all is paved and easy going. Trials are iffy' many ok, others pretty rugged. Depends on the stroller too, I would think.

It is located on a road (River Rd) that is public domain, however because it is considered a park, it closes at dark.
