We saw the hanging house as we walked over the bridge into the town. Little did we realise what was inside. A multitude of modern contemporary art. It was unbelievable. We don't normally visit art exhibitions but we were very glad that we did this time.

Abstract art is not my thing but I understand the standard is excellent. But the building itself is extraordinary and entry is FREE.

I am not an avid modern art fan nor is my 12 year old son but it was quite interesting especially as I learnt that the artist Fernando Zobel lived in Cuenca and started the modern art gallery thus why the high speed train station has his name. The museum is free and for me the building itself is a... More

For us, this was the best museum in Cuenca - and not because it is free. If you have visited San Sebastian, or otherwise know the works of Oteiza and Chillida, you will find some familiar sculptures. Almost all if the works are at least above average, and many are world class. I would return again.

Spent 1.5 hours on a guided trip of the museum which brought the exhibits to life. the building itself is a major attraction hanging over the cliff with a labyrinth of rooms with spectacular views from its windows. There are a range of exhibits from various Spanish abstract artists and the guides knowledge of the various pieces gave an added... More

Well. Entry is free which is always nice. The exhibition itself is weird. Most of the stuff are things and sounds i myself don't consider as art. Some of them are very nice nevertheless - check the photos. The building is super nice and the view from the windows is breathtaking.

We were drawn to this museum mainly because the numerous positive reviews. There was no entrance fee. Some of the art works were disturbing, some were not worth mentioning and only a few were original. In general, we were not impressed by the exhibition. Though the building where the exhibition was held and its surroundings are impressive.

The outside is very quite, with a garden over Huecar river. The inside is an amazing hanging house. The pictures and other abstracts expression of Spanish artist in this particular place make an special effect on yourself. Bad timetable. Open at 11/in the morning but meanwhile you wait, enjoy yourself the quite place.

We visited the week it reopened after a 3 month renovation. The art is beautifully displayed on multiple floors. Some rooms have beautiful views over the gorge. Look for the art of Fernando Zobel.
