Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just three houses make up the C14th Casas Colgades - perched on top of the cliff edge that marks the old Cuenca. But there are many other building remarkably built on the edge of the cliff. The three houses are now a restaurant and the excellent Museo de Arte Abstracto Espanol (free entry). If you are staying at the Parador you can’t miss these houses as you walk into the old town

They are a great sight, almost balancing on the sheer rock face.

Best views are from the terrific Puente de San Pablo.

Although very much reduced in their number compared to the past when the edge was lined with such abodes, what’s here is definitely worth checking out and gazing at.

Interesting thing to take a look. Other than taking photo of the only 3 hanging houses left, one can cross a hanging bridge but as it was raining heavily and my friend did not have her raincoat/umbrella, thus we walked only halfway and ran back. There were few shops and also alleys to explore.

Definitely a must see if you’re on a road trip in Spain. If you hv the time n love nature stay over. This is one place that I will always have the images embedded in my memory till I leave this earth. It seals my believe that this is one of God’s wonders. The view, the wind, the peace that one feels when you have this view n vastness in front of you cannot be described in words. It’s a must see just like one must see the Grand Canyon to experience that awesomeness in your life. I count my blessings that this is one of those places in my life where it takes my breath away n I am blessed to hv experiences it. If you are doing a road trip around Spain, this is a must. Forget about Fuente Dé cable car, an interesting narrow mountain drive that had lots of small towns but an anti climax when you reach the cable car station after such a long drive. Anyone who has anything to ask or share on road trips in Spain do not hesitate to ask. Did not drive in Barcelona. I drove fr San Sebastián to Bilbao, Gijon n A Coruna n Vigo. From Vigo I took the train across to Portugal. From Madrid I started my drive again to Valencia n Seville n back to Madrid before coming home. Also drove from Glasgow to London if anyone needs any info on this as well don’t hesitate to ask. Safe n happy travels everyone

The views from either side of Cuidad Alta are excellent. There are many vantage points to see the Cuenca's starr attractions so walk around the city to find the best views.

Amazing how people live in these homes perched on the edge of a cliff, what beautiful views they would have.

I gotta say i was a tad disappointed when i saw the hanging houses. They looked a lot nicer when i googled them before my trip here. The house is now used as a museum, whilst there may be other attractions in this historical town, in hindsight i would not have made the trip here.

Just imagining how they were able to build these houses gave us a sense of vertigo. They look very interesting and pretty as if they are really hanging from the rocks they are built on. We saw them when the town was illuminated, too which gave them an extra magical air. A must see if you go to Cuenca

The picturesque mountain and gorge view, throws me speechless at the first sight. Walking across the iron San Pablo Bridge to the other side, gaze back the 3 hanging houses at the edge of the cliff, is the scenery you will remember for a long time.

The Hanging House has already turned into an abstract art museum. We planned to visit but were late by just a few minutes. For those who are interested to visit this museum, I suggest the first stop is to go there, as all the others do not have any time restriction. Museum closes at 2:00pm, visitors have to be there at least 15 minutes before closing.

A little exhausting to get too but if you are fit it's fine. We were a little disappointed as there are only 4 to view and from the side you cantreally see much. On another day we went below and got a much better view so we took a few photos.
