The sea is crystal clear and sand soft and white. You can just walk into the sea and see everything under the water it also has an abundance of little fish and is good for snorkelling and swimming. The beach has lots of sunbeds and cost €2.50 each bed and the same for an umbrella. There are also water sports available and boat hire. There is a cafe at the top of the walk down to the bay which has toilets and changing area. There is also some changing huts on the beach. A lifeguard is also on the beach. It has a carpark with a few disabled spaces but this gets very busy early on. I have been coming here for many years and it has become very popular but still remains beautiful and my favourite bay in this area.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 October 2023
- Eden CLarnaca, Cyprus139 contributionsBeautiful beach and stunning clear waters! Little gemKonnas Bay is an absolute gem of a beach that you simply must visit. With its breathtaking beauty and stunning scenery, it's easy to see why it is one of my favourite spots. Access is a breeze by car, and off-season, you'll have the beach all to yourself. But even in the peak season, don't worry - just get there early to secure your spot. You'll be rewarded with extra clear waters and rocks perfect for snorkeling. I even spotted a turtle on one of my visits! To make the most of your day, I suggest bringing your own drinks and snacks to avoid getting caught out by the high prices at the kiosk/cafe. There are toilets and changing rooms available for your convenience. Trust me, Konnas Bay is a must-see destination that you won't regret visiting.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 March 2024
- Netta_KooHelsinki, Finland325 contributionsPretty little beachA very nice little beach, even though somewhat crowded (31.5). We managed to get sunbeds by chance and the price is reasonable (7,5€ for 2 beds and an umberella). Shallow, crystal clear water and a beach bar where you get snacks and drinks.Visited June 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 6 June 2024
- Andrei B50 contributionsBeautiful beachBeautiful beach with clean water, soft sand in a pretty remote location. Very easy to get there with the bus. The beach is not that big, which might be good because will not get very crowded. Make sure to go early if you want a good spot. Some people might put music and can be disturbing. Many fish and rocks with sea grass to explore, even rocks from which to jump into the water. I recommend this placeVisited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 9 June 2024
- MattAndLolBradford, United Kingdom507 contributionsMy happy placeWe have been visiting this beautiful bay on every holiday to Kapparis we've been on over the past 14 years, it's my favourite beach in the world !! Plus the view from the kiosk cafe is my favourite view in the world !! The drive down the zig- zag road through the pine trees suddenly glimpsing the bay is gorgeous. There's soft light sand & crystal clear turquoise sea, it's very shallow for a long way out & usually very calm so great for kids & swimming & snorkeling. We even saw a big turtle swimming in the left hand bay 2 years ago though this time we didn't see any. There's lots of fish & it's always interesting to watch the boat trips mooring up at sea & coming & going. Mike's Watersports is on a jetty on the right hand side of the beach, this year we hired a speedboat for an hour & my husband & son had a wonderful time jumping off it into the water. The cafe is just up the slope from the beach & is shaded by pine trees & cloth sails, it's not cheap as it's owned by the Grecian Park Hotel above the bay on the other side but it's heaven to eat a sandwich & have a cold drink looking out at the beautiful shades of turquoise sea ! There's clean toilets & changing rooms at the Kiosk cafe too. We would recommend to come early to Konnos Bay beach, to make sure you can get a sunbed as by 10.30 am they're usually all gone ! The price for hire is very low compared with Spain etc, still only €2.50 per sunbed or umbrella like all the area. Like all beaches in the Protaras area we would also recommend to go on a weekday if you can rather than a weekend if you're a tourist, on a weekend all beaches are naturally much more crowded with locals too. We always drive to Konnos in our hire car, again parking which is free is better the earlier you go as you can get further down towards the beach. People do go on the bus from Protaras to Konnos but it must be an exhausting walk back up the hill in the summer heat ! We always love our visits to Konnos & would recommend it for everyone apart from for people with mobility issues as it's down a slope to the beach & there's not many disabled parking bays. A hidden gem to remember forever.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 21 June 2024
- GreekTravellerMLimassol City, Cyprus203 contributionsKonnos BayKonnos Beach is truly a gem in Cyprus, offering an unparalleled experience with its crystal clear waters and stunning natural surroundings. The beach is beautifully framed by trees, creating a serene and picturesque setting that feels like a hidden paradise. One of the highlights is the Konnos kiosk. From there, you can take the stairs down and dive straight into the absolutely pristine waters. The clarity of the sea is remarkable, making it perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Whether you're looking for a relaxing day under the sun or an adventure in the water, Konnos Beach provides a unique and unforgettable experience. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking the best of Cyprus' natural beauty.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 9 July 2024
- ghall2014Scunthorpe, United Kingdom134 contributionsWell worth a visitA beautiful bay, well worth a visit. Taxi from Ayia Napa cost 20€ but the bus stops there as well and is much cheaper. Lots of steps up and down to the bay. Be there early in high season if you want a sunbed as they are gone by 10am. Lovely clear water for snorkelling, water sports and great views from the kiosk which is on the pricey side so either bring plenty if supplies with you or be prepared to pay! A lovely day out.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 12 August 2024

This became our go-to beach after trying out a few in the area. 10 minute drive from Ayia Napa. Parking down a narrow road. Sheltered beach is handy when high winds meant the main beaches in Ayia Napa had waves too big for my kids. There is a rock which is good for diving, even small kids. There is a larger rock if you are braver, but can be dangerous so pick your landing spot carefully. The kiosk has very tasty snacks, drinks and icecreams for lunch. Water sports are available. Sun loungers are a premium and you have to be quick and ruthless, but dont give up, just keep an eye out for people getting ready to leave, or just take your own umbrella and towels. Water is crystal clear, calm and not too deep, so kids can play unsupervised in the shallows.

We have just returned from Cyprus and this beach was the star of the holiday for me. We arrived before 10 am which was just as well as all the sunbeds were full by about 10.30-10.45. We enjoy snorkelling and we saw more here than anywhere else we have visited in Cyprus including Ayia Napa, Nissi, Protaris, Coral Bay and Paphos. There were many fish along the rocks in front of the lifeguard hut and in the sheltered area surrounded by rocks on the left of the beach. However, after swimming out a bit further and then on round the corner to the left and in to the shallow waters by the far cliff we found a number of turtles feeding, one really large one and several smaller ones. We loved watching them come up to breathe with their little heads poking up through the surface of the sea. Round that same side of the beach we also saw a Lion Fish which are not indigenous to the area and are very venomous and presumably arrived in the area via the Suez Canal. They are not aggressive so will not approach you and will tend to keep their distance but you need to be aware that there could be one in that area and be careful not to touch them. The water is crystal clear and calm and the bay itself is beautiful. We were staying on the outskirts of Ayia Napa and a taxi for 5 people cost us 15 euros although I think you could get there by bus as well. There are toilets, watersports and a cafe/bar also at the beach. Would strongly recommend

Lagoon has a solid beach and very nice water.
Main disadvantage that beach is being too overcrowded ( even during Covid19 season).
I would recommend visiting Ayia Thekla beach instead or Nissi beach.
PS: in general I would avoid eating in almost all beach clubs, they are overpriced and food quality is way too bad.
Enjoy your stay 🇨🇾😎

Konnos Bay is a beautiful beach located in Ayia Napa, Cyprus. It is a small, secluded cove with clear blue waters and golden sand. The beach is surrounded by pine trees and cliffs, providing a scenic backdrop. Konnos Bay is a popular spot for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling. There are also a few restaurants and bars located near the beach.
The price of sunbeds and umbrellas at Konnos Bay is on the higher side, but it is in line with the prices of other beaches in Ayia Napa. If you are looking for a more affordable option, you can bring your own beach gear.
Overall, the review is positive and suggests that Konnos Bay is a great place to visit. If you are looking for a beautiful and secluded beach in Cyprus, I would recommend checking it out.
Here are some additional things to keep in mind about Konnos Bay:
The beach can get crowded, especially during the summer months. If you are looking for a more peaceful experience, try visiting early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
There is a small entrance fee to the beach.
There are no lifeguards on duty, so it is important to be aware of the risks of swimming in the ocean.
I hope this helps!

Main advice: Get there early to bag a sunbed! We went on a Friday, got the bus from Protaras (Nos 101 or 102, very quick, took just under 10 mins), got to beach at 9:15am and beds/umbrellas were plentiful (two beds and an umbrella cost €7.50). By 10-10.15am all the beds were taken!
I’m not sure I’d describe the beach and bay as ‘pretty’, the ramshackle water-sports huts add a ‘shanty-town’ vibe to part of the beach, however it’s worth a day trip for the calm and shallow sea and nice café/restaurant.
It does get very busy on the beach, the trek to and from the bus stop takes 10/15 mins and is a bit of a killer in the afternoon sun on the way back up. On the whole, worth a trip but get there early!

This beautiful beach surrounded by cliffs and caves is located in a quiet bay with crystal clear waters and fine and bright sand. Konnos Bay is popularly referred to as the Cape Greco jewel and for good reason. It is really a beautiful and delicious sandy beach beyond the usual. If you are on foot you have to prepare for many stairs of a steep slope which can well be a tough ride on the way home. If, on the other hand, you are in a car or other vehicle you have the possibility to drive down to the closest parking lot located a few steps from the beach. Not wheelchair or caravan friendly and recommend visiting this beach in the evening between 17 and 20 (which we did). Here many of the tourists have returned home and there is parking available and in addition beautiful with sunset. Worth a visit without a doubt.

We took the bus from the centre and had the day at the beach. We reached it from the road and walked down the big stepped path, renting the sunbeds like all of Cyprus’ beaches.
It was lovely, very picturesque but the choice of snack bar for food and drinks was limited to one and it was expensive, as should be expected in such circumstances but still a bit disappointing.

I'd highly recommend Konnos Bay as it's beautiful. Snorkelling is wonderful there too with so many fishes of so many colours to see! There's lots to do here, you can go on jet skis and other boats and there is also a diving club there too, for the more professional person! If you want fun in the sun this is the place to go!
There is a restaurant there too if you get hungry plus toilets and shower. The restaurant was nice, I'd review it if only I could remember it's name!
It's a bit of a hike from the car park as there are many steps to get to the bay, but there is disabled access.
The views from up high were fantastic.

Can you get down to the beach without using the steps. Have a bad hip so trying to avoid steps if possible
Written 4 July 2019
There are steps the further up the hill you park. If you go early you should be able to park at the bottom (just a few steps down to the beach from there).

Are there restaurants on the beach where u can order food and drinks?
Written 24 June 2019
So actually on the beach at Konnos bay, there is a small cafe. However when we visited in May they were re doing it all, so there was a temporary cafe, you could still order food and drink there

I’m hoping to get a bus to Konnos bay today, is it far to walk when you get off bus.
