It had been ages since I had seen a film at the Orpheum and I had forgotten what a treasure this place is.

Wow - this is one of the rare few historic cinemas left in Sydney. This was my first visit to see a retro film and it was the perfect setting to see the film. The interiors are stunning. Would be a nice night out combined...More
On top of beautiful art-deco decor, the Hayden Orpheum can boast a top notch scheduling manager.
Here you can catch double bills, projections in 35mm and 70mm, classics and dedicated retrospectives.
Totally worth going and going and going again.

A beautiful old theatre, so much more charm than modern multiplexes, best movies possible but also a range of events to appeal to all senses.
Saw one of my favourite actors, Bill Nighy in a Q&A, just like his movies and then a special documentary...More
I visited with friends to catch a double feature: Jurassic Park and Jaws.
The cinema is decorated in a lovely art deco style. The toilets are clean.
We enjoyed our night and will be back for a double screening featuring Alien and Aliens.
