Lovely area with amazing coastal walks! It was nice and sunny so we went for a dip in the sea (take silicone beach shoes). Not overcrowded, even in the height of summer. Would recommend the walk to Wembury Point. Watch out for the tall, blonde...More

A lovely beach, with the Great Mewstone the feature of the view. Beach is mainly stoney rather than sand, but not too hard on the feet. Approach road is single track and a bit of a problem.

Great beach with lots to do for everyone. Sand, rockpools, nice loos, good ice cream shop, nice little cafe. But above all, quiet and away from the crowds. Car park can get full pretty quickly as it’s not very big, so get there early.

Walks ate stunning, the one past the church is not for the faint hearted or less fit, walk the other way (past beach) is mainly flat. Park in the church yard (£2) and you don't drive down the very narrow road and pay (£5) nice...More

Our visit to Wembury was far from typical, as we were staying at the National Trust cottage, so had the wonderful experience of seeing it at different times and states of the tide. It's a remarkably busy place, and is great for coastal walks, bird-watching,...More

A great place for rock pooling, but you must check tide times. It is also quite relaxing on the beach. There is a learning centre to visit and, you can arrange for guides when rock pooling if you phone well in advnce.

It is easy to access by car and there are bus routes that go to Wembury. The lanes are narrow but cars don't go too fast as a result. The car park is a decent size and won't be problematic for the car. Wembley beach is a... More
