We had heard so much about these markets and yet we we arrived we almost drove by as the traffic was so bad, we sat it out and we’re glad we did. The market is full of all produce including fruit, vegetables, flowers and plants, Bakery produce, meats and fish and then there is the alternative products. They seem to have everything covered- plenty of stalls and choice. Well worth the visit.

What an amazing farmers market, definitely the best we've been to anywhere.
Having arrived in Noosaville the previous day we went and stocked up with as much of the great produce that we could carry. The mangoes, oh, the mangoes! Strawberries and bananas plus all the mundane veggies. The stallholders were all friendly and helpful.
We returned the following Sunday after a few days of heavy rain. Far fewer people there as you might expect and indeed fewer stalls. However, I was impressed with the attitude of the stallholders most of whom expressed their gratitude that we had ventured out to shop with them.
If you're in the area on a Sunday morning, this is a must -visit market.

Fun morning outing. Up early as this market is only open until lunch time. All local growers and food traders selling their wares. A lot of fresh fruit and vegetables, honey, juices, baked goods, breads and cheeses.

The stallholders are lovely. Produce great. However, the owner was incredibly rude to us. We chose to wear masks to the market and were told by the owner, Ish, that masks were for indoors at Coles, identified herself as the owner (which we have confirmed) and said she would prefer we didn't shop at the markets. When leaving I told her she was a ver rude person who didn't know my medical condition. She responsed that she didn't care, that I looked stupid, called me an idiot and told me was I fat and to go away and lose weight. Absolutely gobsmaked at this atrocious behaviour given current health warnings to socially distance or wear a mask. Very difficult socially distancing at Noosa market!

Little mask wearing from stakeholders and visitors during this latest COVID delta lockdown. Really poor effort and we left straight away. If this is the attitude to public health best to avoid

The market is very nice, full of varieties of food, fruits, vegetables and some other stuff.
It is worth a visit if you want to grab something for your breakfast or if you want to buy some fruits and vegies.
My impression is that prices are quite high.

On our second winter trip to the Sunshine Coast from Melbourne we wanted to find some local markets to enjoy.

This market was the only one we managed to attend on our trip. It is located in the beautiful bushland surroundings of the Noosa AFL ground. We enjoyed watching the kids playing a game of AFL on the ground, with the Noosa Tigers performing strongly against their opponents.

This market definitely is 5 star. It is a real, authentic, busy and exciting market. It is representative of the best of the local area. A good sign was that we kept shopping till we had spent all our money! The market was ideal for our stay, as we were having a self catering holiday in an apartment. This meant that the market provided us with delicious food for a very healthy holiday.

Here's a sample of what we purchased (and we did do some sampling too!):

1. bread (get in early, because the bread makers may sell out)

2. cheese (swiss, buffalo)

3. fruits: strawberries, custard apple (beware some of the fruit sellers are over priced)

3. muesli (roasted)

4. frozen mango for the kids to enjoy

5. lots of vegetables

6. nuts

Excellent market - fresh turmeric - wow, meats, fruits and a fabulous food court area french patisserie, it goes on and on. This is a beautiful market. Only off bit was the parking - big signs saying it was free but a nasty chap demanding donations once you are well inside the grounds .... now would have been fine if they had a sign up saying it was donations required but to berate my husband because he had let me out 20 minutes before hand with both our wallets and therefore couldn't make a payment is absolutely not on .... once my husband found me in the market we decided to leave - left a decided nasty feeling for both of us. Shame

The Farners Market in Noosa is really worth a visit! Its crowded so it can be tricky to get a parking space!
There is a hugh amount of food stalls and locally produced. We loved it!

When I first started going there it was all about fresh spray free/ organic produce and you bought it from the farmer or as direct as possible. There were a few and i say very few stalls selling ready made food. Now it seems to have become 'trendy' and as with everything in noosa that becomes 'the place to be or the place to say you have been' all the foodies go there to eat! So this means it takes longer to get it and park, even longer to wade your way through the masses to actually buy produce, and then a stagnant queue on the way out as weyba road is now fully congested and blocked, with a now added useless lollipop man who causes even more delays and kaos. Sorry but we used to custom every week there to support the local community and perhaps take something home to enjoy for lunch, but now we avoid it all costs and have taken our business elsewhere. Since when is a 'farmer market' a 'food stand eatery'. Sorry you used to be good before you became 'hip'.
