Steve did a tour for us around the Beerwah and hinterland area yesterday. Thoroughly enjoyed the day. He showed us some great locations close by and explained about the various habits of some of the birdlife we saw. Went back today to one of the locations and found we recognized even more birds and were able to understand more about their habits. We were aware that there are platapi in the area and he showed us a great location and invariably we saw this elusive animal. We are going to book him again to do another area of the Sunshine Coasts. Steve is very knowledgeable and is more than willing to share his knowledge of this lovely area. Have no hesitation in recommending him for an informative, relaxed day spotting and learning about the birdlife of this region.

We were visiting Noosa with friends, one of which gave us a brochure for Tropical Treks. We signed up, not knowing what to expect. We met Stephen Grainger early in the morning. His passion and knowledge about birds made the experience incredibly rewarding. We live in the mid-Atlantic region of the USA. He opened our eyes to the diverse nature of the Australian eco system, not only about birds but about the land and the people. We feel very fortunate to have been able to spend time with Stephen, and we strongly encourage others to take advantage of this fantastic experience.

Hi Carson, thank you for your kind review. I enjoyed our day together exploring the roads less traveled of the Noosa Hinterland. The Sub-tropical zone and intact forests provide a live-able habitat for our birds and other wildlife. I hope you enjoyed the remainder of your trip and managed to see more of our birds. I trust you had a safe journey back home and please look us up, when next you visit Noosa. All the best, safe travels and happy birding, Steve

I did a full day bird watching tour with Steve and one other guest who, unlike me, was an experienced birder. Steve arrived at 7.00am as stated, and immediately impressed as welcoming and friendly. We visited a number of different habitats through the day, which resulted in a species count of around 80! (And a brown bandicoot). Steve's ability to locate and identify birds by their calls was outstanding. He was knowledgeable and clearly genuinely passionate about the birds and their environment. The day's schedule was unhurried and thoroughly enjoyable, passing through beautiful scenery along the way. Steve was considerate, and made special efforts to ensure we were enjoying everything about our day. The booking process was easy, the vehicle was clean and comfortable, and the morning tea and lunch were fresh and delicious (Thank you Winnie). I would strongly recommend this tour to both experienced bird watchers and beginners alike. I will certainly do another tour with Steve if I have the opportunity when in the Noosa area in the future. Fantastic day all around!

Hi Robyn, thank you for your kind and comprehensive review of our small tour business. I also had a lovely day exploring the UNESCO Noosa Biosphere Reserve with you. We live in a special part of Australia within the Sub-tropical rainforests that provide a habitat for so many birds and other animals. The Brown Bandicoot out and about in the daylight was great to see, considering they are nocturnal foragers. I hope you managed to get out and about around Noosa for the remainder of your stay and I trust you had a safe and enjoyable trip back home. We hope to see you again when next you visit Noosa. Stay safe and Happy BIrding, Steve
