My daughter and I had a fantastic time with Go Ride A Wave Noosa. Our instructor, Scott was friendly and helpful for our lesson. Improvement with each wave as Scott was attentive to our rides and continued to give tips and instruction. Hope to visit again for further lessons!

I'm glad to hear that your son had such a positive experience at Noosa and that his surfing skills improved with the help of the coaching staff. It's great to know that they were not only knowledgeable but also genuinely friendly and encouraging. Providing a positive and enjoyable learning environment is key to helping students develop new skills, and it sounds like Noosa succeeded in doing just that. Thank you for sharing your feedback and I hope your son has many more enjoyable surfing experiences in the future!

Our Teenage boys did the 3 day surf school and they loved every second of it!
Scott is a brilliant instructor, he is really cool and encouraging, he gave them lots of great tips and tricks.
Our boys were standing up from the very first wave they caught and it just got better from then on.
We would definitely recommend this company and location!

I have only been on a surfboard once before in 1986 in Manly with 25 meters waves and -30degrees (well…that’s what it felt like at the time!). I drank 19 litres of water, didn’t catch anything except a bloody back and toes thanks to the triple fins and a massive headache, so…I gave up! I was told afterwards by my mates that they only surfed in these conditions and had been surfing since their mums were pregnant! They had promised to teach me so I stupidly followed to impress my girlfriend.
For my 61st birthday, my darling daughters decided they would force me to have surf lessons before I tackle Kite surfing! What a Great idea that was!
After feeling sick all night and bitting my finger nails off, I decided not to be a wimp and went for my first lesson (2 more to go).
What can I say?….Rees, our instructor was really great! Patience must be his middle name! He made us feel confident, showed us the ropes and made us believe that we could do it! Ok…I was not as good as I was hoping to be by the end but please…give me a break! The young girls (ladies actually) who were with me, all did much better! They managed to catch a few waves and stand up! So I take it as a sign! I will do much better next time! Maybe I’m a slow learner! Apart from that….I strongly recommend that surfing school! The experience was great and….not one mouthful of water and I still have all my toes! That’s got to be good.
Most of all…I can’t wait to go again for my next lessons!
See you soon guys and I’ll make you proud!

It sounds like you've had quite the journey with surfing over the years. I'm glad to hear that despite the challenging start, your recent experience with Reezy and Go Ride A Wave Noosa was positive. It's fantastic that you felt supported and encouraged during your lessons. Keep at it, and with Reezy's patience, I'm sure you'll see even more progress in your next sessions. Here's to catching more waves and enjoying the surf—looking forward to hearing about your future successes!

Some confusion over access/ meet point as we were told 14 on the phone it was different. Worth double checking as we weren’t the only ones who were confused.

Late starting as they wait for late comers. Equipment is in good condition. Lovely area to surf/ learn to surf.

Very large groups - although they do have several instructors out in the water. If you have children you’ll need to ensure they are confident asking for help otherwise they get overlooked. Not sure I’d recommend or book again based on this.

Hi Tanya, Sorry to hear there was a bit of confusion over the meeting point as we are located at access 11. We work on a 1;7 ratio when it comes to students in our classes and always over staff if there is a mix of children and adults.

At the beginning the instructors show you on the beach how to do when you are in water catching a wave. But we booked 3 days 2 our lessons. In water they didn't tell or show you anything. It would be enough to book only one lesson, because in water you are on your own, they don't show you anything. That's what i didn't like

I hired a stand up paddle board for a couple of hours which was good fun.

The next day i hired a kayak and took my two year old daughter out for a paddle around the coves - they provided me with life jackets for myself and was thrilled they also had a small kids life jacket which fit my daughter perfectly. The guy at the go ride a wave hire tent was knowledgable and had given me some do's and don'ts which was very appreciated!

And on our last day we hired a soft surfboard.

The staff were very friendly and had great local knowledge of the area.

My friend and I booked onto the two hour course. I had had a surfing lesson eight years back but couldn't remember much about technique etc. My friend had never tried it before. We were a small group and were further split into two groups - those who had done it more recently/more confident and those who were total beginners/novices like myself and my friend. There were only three in our group. Our female instructor was friendly and approachable. It was a fairly quick theoretical lesson on the sand but we went through everything we needed to go through and could ask questions. I was thrilled when I managed to stand up first time in the water and caught several more waves. The two instructors helped spot good waves and gave us the push we needed. The male instructor wasn't quite as chatty or forthcoming but was helpful in the water which was the main thing. We were required to take down our own surfboard to the beach and back up again after the lesson. I understand why this was done but I have to say that I really quite struggled carrying my board atop my head all the way back being small and lightweight, on hot sand too. That was the only 'negative' though really. Oh, and the fact that I didn't get any photos to prove my success (next time!).
