    Noosa has a Vibe
Great Beach and area. Spent a week In Noosa and the beach was amazing. Was a windy week but Noosa was beautifully sheltered. The shopping area has a good vibe with great options for shopping and dinning.

A stunning location for a day at the beach.
A wonderful sheltered, North facing, patrolled beach. Also great options for surfing and paddle boarding. The proximity of this beautiful beach to shops and the eateries, nearby, makes this a perfect destination for a full day visit. Given the numerous families who visit it would be good to see a protected ocean pool added unobtrusively perhaps down towards the river mouth. Certainly this is a stunning location for a day at the beach.

    Noosa Main Beach
Noosa Main Beach, a stunning north-facing stretch of sand, is the jewel of Queensland's Sunshine Coast. It's a place where gentle waves create a perfect environment for families and beginner surfers to enjoy the ocean. The beach is backed by a scenic boardwalk lined with pandanus and palm trees, inviting leisurely strolls, especially during the enchanting sunset hours. The beach is part of the larger Noosa Heads area, which is renowned for its commitment to preserving natural beauty over commercial development. This ethos is evident in the adjacent Noosa National Park, where hiking trails offer breathtaking coastal views and encounters with local wildlife. Noosa Main Beach is not only about relaxation but also about vibrant water activities. From stand-up paddleboarding to fishing near the Noosa River mouth, there's something for everyone. The beach's allure extends to its surf breaks at First Point, popular with more experienced surfers, especially during the Noosa Festival of Surfing in March. 🎉👒😊😘🤩🏝

    Beautiful stretch of sand.
Beautiful beach with easy access, an extensive boardwalk and safe surf along the entire beach. Many shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance along with various levels of accomodation. You could be anywhere in the world and not find such a beautiful stretch of sand. Three hour parking next to the surf club is handy if you are patient enough to wait for a spot. Only 1/2 hour drive from Maroochydore and well worth the trip.

We were staying in Mooloolaba and went to the Eumundi markets in the morning.. we decided to head to Noosa Heads main beach for the afternoon and ended up staying until 7pm. The beach was crowded but the water was warm and clear and the waves dumped us many a time! We had so much fun and enjoyed our time there very much! For dinner we walked up the Main Street where there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. We ended up eating at Grill’d at my teenage son’s request. We had a great time at Noosa Heads beach!

We enjoyed walking along the ‘main’ beach (there is also a boardwalk) which runs parallel to Hastings Street. It had soft clean sand and gentle waves. It being low tide, we continued east along the beach into Little Cove. A lovely sheltered beach, seemed less crowded and great for sun baking, families etc. Climbed some steps up onto Park Rd and walked along a wide boardwalk to the Information/small coffee outlet/end of road carpark. Lovely views out over the waves and surfers. Continued on along the Coastal Track to view the Boiling Pot rock hole below, thence Tea Tree Bay (another nice but more remote beach) and out to Dolphin Point lookout. Did not see any dolphins, but did see a koala up a tree. Returned and enjoyed a coffee at a restaurant/café overlooking the ‘main’ beach. Watched an artist making a sand sculpture. Historical fact: the beach was wider last century, allowing light aircraft to land. We enjoyed a very pleasant and relaxing visit.

Always pretty, but through the week even better as not as busy. We enjoyed an hour or two at main Beach, with lolling surf and views of the odd whale. We then moved to the mouth of the river for a quick snorkel. Absolutely breathtaking, you could be anywhere in the world and this is our backyard! Plenty of parking through the week busier on weekends but understandably. Gorgeous!

Crowded, pretentious and short on the white sandy stuff? These reports didn’t sound correct, so we took a look to see what’s changed at this once desirable tourist trap.

So what did we discover? It seems half of Sydney’s eastern suburbs set, and their Melbourne counterparts from the likes of Toorak and Brighton have taken up refuge from Covid in this once idealic and sleepy
beachside hamlet. An overcrowded beach, not helped by heavy erosion caused by recent summer swells, found us navigating dozens of cheap beach cabanas seemingly bought from the local pharmacy in some vain attempt to blend in with the “locals”. Nevertheless we continued forth along the narrow sandy strip carefully avoiding the malibu surfboard carrying men who appeared to be more intent on connecting with their youth, and an era that had well passed them, rather than actually catching a wave at this once desirable surfing locale. Soon after we found ourselves encountering several groups of noisy and obnoxious children, now disappointed, we headed back to our car which was closely parked a 30 minute uphill walk away, and determined that this may have once been a paradise that had sadly now been well and truly lost.

Been here several times and it's definitely a tourist destination, great for kids as it's close to the main street and is manned by lifeguards. It is however quite hard to find parking unless you get up early or park further away and walk-in. A walk further up teh far ends of beach will see easier access.

Noosa Main Beach is large for social distancing and the waves are never big so great for families. There are so many food and beverage options close by. Perfect beach with every option from cheap eats to fine dining.

Noosa has a great strip of shops and restaurants that is one block from the beach.

The beach itself is North facing and seems sheltered from the coastal winds. Good waves for beginners to learn to surf. If you are serious about the waves you are probably picking a different spot.

Also visited Sunshine beach, Coolum and Mooloolaba beach. Noosa main beach is my pick for the family.
