Great crew who were really effortless in their approach to all aspects of the trip. There was a nice balance between fishing and other activities available. Getting a dive on the Batavia wreck site was a added bonus.

Had a great run out to the Abrolhos islands with the crew a couple weeks back. Weather was less than favourable but Jake managed to get us onto some good fish each day. Tim was a superstar on deck and an absolute workhorse. Nothing was too hard. All fish were treated perfectly to ensure they are at their best eating quality. The setup of the boat was great and the ability to have a freshwater shower at the end of each night was awesome. Tying up to the Sans Souci at the end of each day to be greeted by Chad and Leah was also a highlight. The meals provided were of high quality and included some of the fresh fish we caught on the day. I cant recommend this operation enough and am hoping to experience the Montebellos in the future with these guys also. Thanks for a great trip guys

Very professional outfit , always willing to help with advice and knowledge . Very friendly staff always putting customers first. Great trip and would definitely use Blue Lightening Charters in the future.

Blue Lightening Charters are the most professional and friendly fishing charter you could hope for. Chad, Leah and the team go out of their way to give you the best experience possible. I already have my next trip booked with Blue Lightening!

Chad, Leah, Jake, Tim & Sam took care of us from the moment we arrived in Karratha until we left a week later. In between, all of our needs were met and they really went out of their way to make us feel at home. This was a trip with the family and my wife and daughter fish but perhaps not with the same zeal that my son and I do. But they made it easy for everyone to have a good time.
They clearly care about the area and treat it as their home. We stayed on the Sans Souci, which was great with the a/c and bathrooms for the girls. We spent lots of of time on the barge, socializing with the group of fishermen from Perth.
All in all, a REALLY great trip. My only complaint is that it's so far away for us (24 1/2 flight hours from the US west coast - add 5 more hours for my son coming from the east coast). But even with the long travel times, I expect to go back there again. A really big GT is in my future :-)

The week at the montes with the team at blue lightning was absolutely awesome. From the moment we touched town in Karratha to the moment we left, we were taken care of and treated so well. Jake and Tim on the boat were fantastic in their efforts to make our trip memory, the best boat crew I've ever experienced. Sam was amazing and her food was epic! Chad and Leah were the ultimate hosts and have an awesome setup out at the montes and of course young Isla was great fun too, put a big smile on all our faces at regular intervals on the trip.
Thankyou so much guys and I can Not wait to return again!

Excellent fishing once the weather prevailed. Jake and Tim were excellent in all aspects of fishing. They went out of their way to look after us. Catering was fantastic with lots of variety and plenty of it. Really enjoyed evenings on the pontoon, very scenic and nice to have a yarn or two and a cleansing ale.

Had a great time going fishing at the Montebello islands. We caught a lot of different species of fish. Had great meals on the pontoon. The family and crew couldn't do enough to help so an inexperienced fisherman like me also had a great time. Thanks very much!

After delays due to Covid we eventually got one more tick on the bucket list done. Conditions at first were windy making making fishing challenging. Soon we were able to reel them in surpassing our expectations. As a group we have fished other top spots. This trip also added some adventure being able to tour the atomic test sites, save a stranded turtle from dying, eat delicious painted lobster and lots of delicious fresh fish. Distances are vast so be patient as the team work hard to get to the best spots. Wonderful meals prepared on our pontoon with love and only in a way small family style business can really offer. They worked from morning to night always looking to be the best. It’s a tough gig in a remote location that can only be done if you really love you your business and people. We were made to fell unique and valued. I’m sure each group is treated the same as clearly Blue Lightning understand it is a lot of money that warrants a lot of fun to measure up.They won’t disappoint you given half a chance and a get fair working chances with the weather in a difficult location.
