Well worth it. A really good day. Lovely morning tea, friendly crew and informative captain. Surprised how good it was. Plenty to see, dolphins, dugong, rays, sea snakes. Great way yo spend a morning.

Not to be mistaken for Mandurah Cruises/Mandurah Ferry Cruise (next to Cicerello's), this little gem at dolphin quay provided everything we hoped for! Mandurah Dolphin Tours was cheaper and the tour was 1.5 hours. Our tour almost took 2 hours as Brat our captain gave us time with the dolphins we spotted along the way!
A smaller boat allowed us to move and switch to the sides the dolphins were on fast. And we could be ready to spot them wherever we sat with a 360 view.
As we were on the way out, we spotted two packed ferries from the other popular dolphin cruise. They were already on their way back and we were just getting started! (both tours started at 4pm)
Overall, we were glad with the more personalized service due to the smaller boat and fewer passengers on board (there were only 13 of us). And of course the 9 dolphins that we saw! (:

Thanks Josh, really glad you enjoyed your time on the water with Brad, he does a fantastic job. We always intend to be the preferred cruise for Mandurah locals! As you say, we depart from Dolphin Quay behind Nino's, not from in town and we like to think we offer the best value cruise in WA. Thanks for your kind comments, Simon.

We took a cruise with Mandurah Cruises which had a seniors rate on offer. The shop assistant recommended the midday cruise which was 1/2 hour longer due to making a stop for fish and chips!! We saw dolphins within 5 minutes of setting off and a further 8 during the cruise, some very close to the boat. A number of pelicans were also seen during the cruise thanks to the very informative skipper.

We are not Mandurah Cruises (they used to be Bouvard Cruises), we are Mandurah Dolphin Tours. Our vessel is much better for viewing dolphins and pelicans up close with full 360 viewing and individual seats. We get you closer to the action and we go even further with an entertaining and informative commentary on our standard 90 minute tour through the wetlands. Seniors $20 plus $8 fish n chips, we offer much better value. You should try us next time! We depart from the Mandurah Marina, we have never left from in town. We have the one and only original "Quay to Quay" cruise.

Feb 2014 • Friends
I have used both tour companies (Bouvard now known as Mandurah Cruises and Mandurah Dolphin Tours). It is easy to get the two confused, but as I have recently found out Mandurah Dolphin Tours now depart from Dolphin Quay near Neros fish & chips. I recall that some time ago when we used Dolphin Tours we hopped on the boat on the opposite quay, near to the Visitor Centre and Simmos ice-cream.
Although I can't recall the date that we last used Dolphin Tours, they are equally as good as their competitor. The staff are friendly, the commentary good and the cruise was very relaxing. There are drinks on board for purchase. The upside is that their cruise prices and lunch price is very much cheaper than Mandurah Cruises. So if there is a large party of you or you are on a budget, then Dolphin Tours are better value.

Trip on a river cruise in Mandurah. The cruise lasts for 1 hour and there is s chance you will see dolphins. We saw them 3 times. The houses are also fantastic along here. Lovely relaxing hour listening to the commentary as you go. You can also pay extra for fish and chips 12 dollars to have in the boat. With your ticket you receive 10 per cent discount in gifts in the shop and also a buy one get one free churro which was delicious. It was a cold windy day so make sure you take a jacket with you just in case needed. You can get cold and hot drinks from the boat.Mandurah is also a nice place to walk round around. Lovely places to eat and nice shops to look around.

Well this was a whole lot of fun on a Friday night !!! We have done it twice now learnt a few things first trip that we applied this time (lightweight wind proof jackets for those that get cold ! your out on open water people ..) and pre-prepared nibbles.
We turned up a little early for the five o'clock departure, (to guarantee a good seat, 24 max on the upper deck).
On our first visit we had thought they would burn us on the drinks price as the entry price was so reasonable, but no the drinks are also reasonably priced :) The boat does these 45 min loops (last one out at 8:00) out into various parts of the estuary including the canals where you can watch lifestyles of the rich and famous. You can get on or off at any time during the docking and you can bring your own picnic basket of cheese and nibbles (they provide complimentary nibbles as well BTW ) Some clever patron worked out that a famous fish and chip shop was nearly on the same jetty and ordered ahead and at the 7:00 berthing ducked out and came back with fish and chips for his group...(recon Uber eats would be the go here!). Lots of people got up and danced to the music that was playing. The bar staff get a bit overwhelmed by the revellers and the sheer volume of drinks orders occasionally, but they bounce back quickly. I Highly recommend it for a fun cheap (depends on your alcohol consumption but it start's out cheap! ) Friday night out on the water.

I can believe we saw so many dolphins - they were everywhere. We got so many dolphin photos. At one stage they were swimming under the boat. Mandurah is just a stunning town to visit. There's great eateries and shops. After the cruise we walked along the foreshore and found lots of interesting shops and cafes. There's a great Aboriginal Art and Souvenir shop called True Blue on Mandurah Terrace which also sells lots of Mandurah souvenirs and dolphin souvenirs and postcards. Next door to True Blue is a great coffee shop called Janice's. We had an amazing lunch with water views and watched the boats passing by!

We bought the groupon deal and was lucky to spot many Dolphins during the 90 min boat ride. Every time we saw dolphin, the boat will slow down and move towards a favorable position. We got to see the dolphin swim below our boat and mother and young swimming next to your boat. Truly an unforgettable experience.

Spent a beautiful hour and a half cruising the canals around Mandurah. The "Skipper", whose name escapes me was a lovely woman. Only been in Mandurah for 3? Years, but very knowledgeable. We had a fair number of kids onboard and she managed to accommodate them all well. All made better by the fact that we did see some Dolphins.

Hello, I am visiting Mandurah 1st June to 3rd June 2015. Can we still see the dolphins during this period of time? What time will be good for the tour where we can sight more dolphins? Looking forward to visit Perth!
Written 30 January 2015
Yes, the dolphins are resident to the waterway and they are around all year, pretty much every day but they are wild. They come and go as they please which is the wonderful thing about seeing them here so much, they are here because they use this inland waterway as a nursery to raise their calves. They are not predictable being wild animals so there is no guarantee they will be seen on any day.
