Phil was our driver for the afternoon. He was very knowledgeable and took us to some lovely wineries. Unfortunately as this was a Tuesday, many of the smaller boutique wineries which we prefer were closed.

Because the tour was for 5 hours and cost $284.95 per person, I was looking forward to a top class day. Unfortunately, the disembarkation was delayed by a good 30 minutes, which meant rushing through the first winery. Which, was the best and only winery of the day which I would be happy to revisit. The wine samples given were adequate and showcased some beautiful wines. Such a disappointment that time did not allow a visit to the pottery shop. The next three wineries were dismal. The lack of interest shown by staff to showcase the wines of the area was appalling. A scant amount of wine distributed into the glass was inadequate to do a proper tasting. The most disappointing moment of the whole experience, was that when complaint was made to the tour guides, nothing was done to rectify the situation. This was a wine tasting tour, I expected to be able to taste the wine. The hosts on this occasion did not look after us. They took us on a bus trip and dropped us off at some wineries. The last winery we were at, had no running water. (Pity there were no notices to this effect. From a hygiene perspective, it would have been good to have some warning).…

Four of us went on a full day wine tour with one of the owners, Sharon, and had a wonderful experience. It’s a great value for the money with multiple, varied wineries, fantastic lunch and stops for chocolate and cheese. Sharon is charming and amusing (and a careful driver!) and shared her love for the region. I highly recommend this company - I’m sure you’ll have a great time!…
