Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The young women behind the desk today needs some skills development. When told that the address for the centre was wrong in one of the caravanners most used social media sites, she stated that most people use google. Clearly she doesn't know most people and if she were customer oriented would not have reacted in the manner she did. It appears she has no knowledge of the site either - probably not on the list of visited sites for her generation.

Hi tonytN127KK,
Thanks for your feedback. I am happy to advise that my colleague reported the incorrect address for our centre on the WikiCamps app today after your visit and we have now subscribed and hopefully rectified the situation. There are so many fabulous travel apps, websites and social media channels these days...its hard to keep up. We manage to even do some edits for our Dunsborough and Margaret River visitor centres too. Enjoy the rest of your stay in Busselton and thanks again for the heads up.
Regards,

Unfortunately we didn't receive great service today on arrival. When we walked in three staff members were at the front desk and were more interested in discussing staff rosters and what they needed to do if they wanted days off. I am guessing it was a manager that was advising them what they needed to do for set days off. I actually had to go up and ask them for advice. Felt I was being a nuisance and interrupted them.
I would suggest maybe they have these meetings either before or after opening hours so that guests visiting the area can get some great advice on what to do. We still have no idea of things to see and do in the local area, so will goggle it instead of getting local knowledge.

Hi Kim P,
Our apologies. I was the manager in question, having a quick operational discussion with the team in a quieter moment of the day after a busy weekend. Our visitors are never a nuisance as we love to chat about our incredible region and we talked to a couple visitors as they walked in during that 5-10 minutes so I'm sorry you had that impression. Some people like to wander the Railway House museum and interactive information displays a little before seeking out our advice. Hovering over a map with someone or restocking the brochures and displays is where you'd usually find us.
Our visitor service teams in Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River are open 9 - 5, 7 days a week in person and over phone, email or webchat so much of our training and meetings are run outside of opening hours. We use this time especially to familiarise ourselves with all the great venues and experiences on offer so we can share this with visitors. I like to think we are always learning and training both on and off the job. New events and activities pop up daily, of which one of my team wanted to experience so we were reworking some the staff shifts between the two of them so she could attend. Next time we will be sure to wait to discuss until after after hours, you're right.
Please feel free to call me on 08 9780 5911 if you would like to discuss this further or would like some recommendations for your next visit to Busselton.

Large building at the foot of the jetty opposite Shelter Brewery. Plenty of local, state and interstate information in print and helpful staff to add personal insight. Worth visiting when you arrive in town to help plan your visit. Plenty of free parking nearby.

A great place to visit- not only the usual brochures but also lots of lovely things to buy. Pleasantly suprised to find an informative museum room attached. Much better than most of the other tourist/visitor centres we came across in region, and definitely recommended

Overall a great experience with friendly staff. All too happy to offer suggestions on what to do in the Margaret River region. Plenty of choice for winery tours and local attractions. Particularly enjoyed the lighthouse and cave experience recommended. Also the Goose Restaurant was good .

Hi billie12GoldCoast, Thank you for leaving a review. There are so many attractions in the Margaret River Region that it is always a good idea to visit one of our Visitor Centres to get some ideas on what to do during your stay. We can provide you with a map and local knowledge to ensure you have the best time. Our Caves and Lighthouses are wonderful and worth a visit. Remember "the more you cave, the more you save", talk to our staff about the multi passes for our attractions which will save you money on the single passes.

Went to Busselton Visitor Centre, in Peel Street, on a Saturday, to see about a Margaret River wine tour, as we can’t really do it ourselves by car! Very helpful girl, Natasha, told us about 4 wineries tours and we booked on the Cellar d’Or Premium Winery Tour – Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup and area (10.30-17.30, including lunch, for $82 = £53.40 pp.) I also made a note of lots of things she said we could do on the next day, Sunday. We spent 45 mins there! Very very useful.

Plan to go to Busselton Jetty and Underwater Observatory end November. Where can we park the car or is any parking area nearby?
Written 12 July 2015
Hello and thank you for your enquiry regarding our iconic Busselton Jetty. There are several car parks located along the Busselton Foreshore with it only being a short walk to the start of the jetty.
