We had a lovely Sunday lunch with some family friends and our young children. The food and wine was amazing and the outlook from the restaurant over the wildflowers was beautiful. The food is all made from fresh local ingredients and the flavors really speak for themselves. We enjoyed a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc which was perfect with our seafood lunch.

The children’s meals were brilliant and were only $15. Everything was homemade and included a juice box, tiny teddies, ice cream and fruit for dessert. The waitress also came around during their lunch with a toy for them to keep!

Highly reckon!

A friend attempted a visit last month and said it was closed. A little note on their website also says closed for 2018-2019. A shame as it was highly recommended by locals.

We were advised to visit this winery by Mandy from Big 4 Ocean Beach and we can't thank her enough. EVERY wine was superb, the food was amazing and the desserts to die for. With the meal you received a bread roll, a side salad and dessert..Such a great deal. Apart from Yoko the chef, there was only one staff member on and she did an amazing job taking orders, doing wine tastings, delivering food and being friendly. Many high end restaurants should have this lady teach their staff about great service. Do yourself a favour and definitely visit Yilgarnia.

Everything you would want in a Winery, great food, great wine, amazing views and welcoming staff. Food was faultless and great value. You get to taste their whole wine range and there are some exceptional ones, we purchased a box full of Shiraz and SSB. Don't drive past this one!

We went here for a get together with friends and family, some from
Perth, and others local.
Yilgarni is a fair way of the bitumen with gravel roads to get there.
But, that said, the roads are not too bad to drive on. It is a pleasant walk along a bush track to get to the restaurant from the car park, so take an umbrella if it is raining.
The restaurant is spacious, with great views over the farmland, and there is a choice of inside, or verandah seating. The staff were very friendly and helpful, with facilities for young children in an adjacent area for play.
The jigsaw table is fun, and hopefully it will be completed some day. Food was superb, with the pies the choice on the menu. Overall, a great place to enjoy a casual meal without any rush, and of course reasonably priced very good wine selection.

We are locals and drive past the Yilgarnia Winery sign often and always say "we must try them". We have heard "word of mouth" good reports of Yilgarnia so we booked a table for 10 for Mothers Day. It is a good 10km drive on an unsealed road (gravel) off the South Coast Hwy (Upper Denmark Rd) and a real hidden gem. Wine tasting was an excellent way to sample their wines before purchasing a bottle for our meal - the Shiraz and Unwooded Chardonnay were very good wines and well priced - they complimented our meal very well. The menu choice was more than expected with plenty to choose from for the gluten intolerant as well. Plating and taste were exceptionally well done (much more than tavern style dining). 3 courses will leave you fully satisfied. Staff and chef were lovely. Given it was Mothers Day and they were fully booked, the girls (including female Chef) did are wonderful job If you're looking for a wonderful lazy afternoon to relax and indulge you will enjoy this place.

What a lovely view from this winery. The food was really good.
If you order the main the sweets are included. Great value! We also did the wine tasting, no charge. The staff were lovely! A bit of drive from Denmark about 20 mins but worth it.

This winery is a little out of the way and might forbid hire car access because of the gravel road access.
But, when you get there, there is a wonderful view, and great service from friendly staff, and an amazing menu.
Make sure you try the pies.
Make sure you allow plenty of time to enjoy the view, the service, and the food and wine.

We had been told about this winery when we were in Albany so decided to try it out on our way to Denmark. It was about 8 kms off the main road on an unsurfaced road but it was fine to drive along and well signposted. We were there on a Sunday but about midday so it wasn't too busy. The lady pouring the wines for the tastings was very friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed so we decided to have lunch too. Between us we had a beef and Shiraz pie and a pulled lamb and rosemary pie with salad, a roll and a delicious dessert of chocolate cake. The food was well priced at $20 each and the large glass of wine for $6 was great value. If we were staying for longer we'd definitely eat there again. It's only open at weekends so make sure you plan it in to your visit to the area!
