This is a MUST DO when here in Albany, we went on a sunset cruise with our host and skipper Forrest and John, what a way to end the week and talk about value for money $40 for a 2 hour cruise with something to eat and drink, this was defiantly one of our highlights of our trip, Thank you... More

Hi Ryan W Thank you for a lovely review. It was our first Sunset Cruise for the season and it was great to have your company. Chatting with the folks who were on board was fun and it was such a pleasure to know that everyone enjoyed themselves, despite the nip in the air. Thank you for choosing to come... More

Lovely people who make the trip worth going, but a slow boat and no whales. The whales is not their fault of course, but they only have one spotter on the main land who can not see the whole area.

Hi Sam M. Thank you for your review. However, I believe you have misunderstood what was mentioned on the tour. Our spotters can see over the entire Sound, but of course they cannot see what is on the far side of any islands. We receive information also from spotter planes. There were no whales in the Sound on the day... More

We started our whale tour with the skipper giving us all the do's and don'ts (in a funny way) before we even set sail from the dock. This was good as everyone learnt some things including the skipper's dry humour! Although our trip was cut short by one of the guests who felt sick when we were out in the... More

It was almost towards the end of the migration season. So we were lucky to spot two whales. The staff were experts. And served delicious foods onboard. They were sensitive to our needs and catered halal food for us. My husband was starting to feel seasick but didnt tell them. However the staff were very attentive and even gave him... More

Plenty of room to view from upstairs or inside the boat. Morning tea was a nice touch. Obviously the team can't control what you will see regarding the whales, but they really do their best by having a staff member on constant whale watch. We were out there for a good 3 hours, saw a number of whales, including mums... More

Thank you Cherry M for a lovely review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your tour with us and felt strongly enough to take the time to write about it. The whole team feels great once we have been able to find whales for our guests, as sometimes, despite all our endeavours, they choose not to appear. Thanks from John,... More

Sail Away is a beautiful, comfortable Yacht, skipped and crewed by the most wonderful folks one could ever hope to meet. Right from the moment of boarding, John and his crew make one feel very welcome. The pre-launch discussion and safety talk is funny and informative with some great tips on how to avoid sea sickness. Once underway, the boat... More

WOW! What a wonderful review Ykamiwolf-f07700. We are so pleased you enjoyed all we could offer, seeing that there is nothing we can do about whether whales appear. Thank you for taking the time to tell us of your pleasure, not only of the tour but of the incredible place Albany's coastal environment is. Cheers, John, Forrest and crew. More

the boat & crew are really well set up and experienced & knowledgeable for a great day out. Unfortunately outside their control is the weather and if whales come into the bay. Our first possible day was cancelled due to poor weather, and second day was a late decision to go. I am glad we did as the weather remained... More

Had a great time, despite a howling wind and showery weather. This was mostly due to the facilities and staff (both Tony and Peter were fabulous!). Saw a few whales too (but that was a bonus!).

Had a fantastic morning crew is very friendly and knowledgeable about the local history. Although we didn't see any whales today we were lucky enough to see dolphins and a colony of fur seals. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and have been given the opportunity to go again free of charge as we did not see whales. Thank you
