Lunch at Hunky Dory fish and chip restaurant. Excellent food! The fish was fresh and cooked well, salad was excellent too. Good service and the restaurant was clean and conveniently located. Will definitely return.

I would like to know the name of the fragrance that is used around the Aldi, Woolworth, and food stores area.
Every time I walk through there the smell is very nice.
Does anyone know the name of that fragrance or where can I buy one?

Hate the parking fees
Shopping dinner and movie cost me $22 dollars parking which we never used to have to pay
Won’t be back it’s free to park at century city so that’s we’re we will go from now on
Car park wasn’t even redone still pot hole and uneven roads all you did was put in boom gates and charge people fees

Westfield Knox is a convenient and comfortable shopping centre. It has a choice of shopping malls, a variety of restaurants and Village Cinemas. A good destination to shop, dine and relax.

I have lived in Knox practically my entire life. I’ve seen the centre evolve from a simple Myers store to the expansion of Ozone. I’ve also watched the almost decline of a once busy and popular shopping precinct and now the total revamp. I’m looking forward to a bigger and better place to shop after living in the area for 20+ years. I can look past the current inconvenience of restricted parking and construction but I can’t cope with overwhelming stench of the perfume that smacks you fair in the face as you walk into the Aldi section of the centre. From someone who suffers from asthma the smell is so offensive and triggering I have to hold my breath until I get to woollies. Please, please whoever’s idea it was to place this unnecessary sensory overload at the entrance of the centre can you please reassess. It is not pleasant at all and apart from grabbing my inhaler every time I walk in I feel sorry for the florist and the staff of Aldi that have to smell that all day.

I used to go here as a child, it was like a dream. There was every shop you could have imagined and there were endless things to do. Between the start of the pandemic till now 1 thing has happened. I have 3 words, Knox Ate Sh?t. The shopping centre now is a run down waste of time. The only reason I go there now is to go to the cinemas(which is imo the only play that has been recently changed and “renovated”). It’s sad to see, the one place I really enjoyed going to, falling to its knees. I know it’s under renovation now but after this I’m really unsure if it will heal. The old Knox holds a special place in my heart but the new one? Only time will tell.

Even though the mall is undergoing upgrading, everything is still well organized.

Mall is good 😊. Enjoyed Target. 🥰

It’s winter now and shopping midweek means no crowds at all.

The Knox-O-zone at Wantirna South has everything in one location. Westfield mall has stores and several dining options both indoor and outdoor. There is a movie house and kids play station. Ideal place for relaxed shopping and dining with family and friends.

Knox shopping centre is in dire need of an upgrade and it’s good to hear it’s finally starting and should be completed next couple of years. May I suggest if not already in the plans to include EV chargers to the carpark.

Westfield Knox. Originally back when the Knox Corporation Owned and Ran Knox City, They had a profitable business model this meant in-turn that foot traffic in and out of Knox City was high. This even extended so far to the Ozone which at the time wasn't owned by Knox. Knox at the time had high rent for it's shops but Knox would always invest that money back into the center.

Since Westfield Corporation bought Knox City, Westfield had done little in terms of investment into the Site. This is made very clear by the Sign near the bus bays that has a tarp over the Knox Corporation sign. Which was installed roughly 20 years ago, This can be seen all over the center with numerous Knox Corporation logos and signs still on display since Westfield bought the center..

Where to start. Car Park is on it's last legs, Mice, Weather damage and a lack of maintenance is causing the structure to become unsafe.

The Bus Bay displays this regularly as you'll feel the concrete slabs move whenever a bus comes into a bay, It took them 15 years to replace a broken chair at a bus stop. The lights are all damage at the bus station, Nothing get painted or cleaned. Doors into the center are regularly damage by people selling drugs at the door to the center.

Despite being across the road from a police station.. with police walking directly pass it while entering the center.

The newest sections of the center built in the 2000s have begun to leak, this was the Knox corporations flagship project at the time that rebuilt the old bus station into the what is now the market place adding space for shops like Harvey Norman.

The rent at the center is extremely high for smaller business, when compared to other business such as Coles they'll also take a percentage of the business gross earnings before tax as part of your contract. You'll be required to put something up such as your house despite that being separate from your business assets.

The center requires you to *reinvent* your shop every few years, although this being said this only applies again to smaller business as some such as Coles and Toys R Us hadn't refitted their shops, signs in decades.

This has led to a decline under Westfield, as time has progress the very unique sign art that the center once had has faded away becoming very bland and tasteless.

The center *high end* district which was made up of shops such as Myers, has slowly decline as lack of interest overall and with the installment of newer shops selling theses high end goods over the entire center has taken what was a nice if not cornered off area and pasted it across the center despite the lack of interest and business, however this can be seen at most west field shopping centers as Ring Wood is as prim example of this. Those shops at ringwood don't pay rent and don't have customers and they still left that center during 2020.

Food court. The foodcourt used to be a wonderful sight having a wide selection of foods and even fast food chains from red rooster to mcdonalds along with many other shops that descended to the ground floor where the St George once stood.

The food court at one point had a large tv screen and would play radio aswell as music had events and was always packed during lunch time as you couldn't find a seat to sit on during the lunch rush and this extended as far as 4.00 on somedays..

The bottom section of the food court was a mixture of cafes for kids parties, restaurants and clothing, along with games and niche items.

Even further back there was a massive water playground that had amazing fountains and play space yet still had enough space for the xmas and events the center had each year.

Between the food court and coles, you had things like hair cuts, cheap stores and this would expand outwards towards myer where the bottleshop was located near the carpark entrance this entry was never really too busy even during it's height.

ATMs.
When the fee's removed by the government so did the revenue generated by ATMs this is why Knox only has few ATMs with a single fee ATM located near Myer. And a few in the market place near all the banks that are located in the center.

It used to be the ATMs were all over the center now they are hard to find, further more if your unable and find it hard to get around.

Seating will be something you'll much desire as they have a habit of moving it and changing it for large imposing seats.

With the cafe's that used to be in the center, It was very easy to find seating.

Coles, Marketplace, Coles.

Coles has always been at Knox and that's never been too much of an issue as there was a BiLow located in the center, when this closed down Coles took over it. Despite many request by people who shop at the center and by people who have shops in the center an Aldi, Safeways, NQR none have made their way into the center even with the large shop space that has been left by Harvey Norman, Toys R'US leaving..

Market place was always good but as many of the shops that made the area great have left, we've had an influx of nail, massage parlours and 2 dollar shops that always seem to be getting a visit from the boarder police in some shape or form.

There was evidence to suggest many of theses parlours had been operating as brothels as submitted by a report by Knox council.

Magazine, Misc and Hobby shops very few of theses still exist. Most major that is in the center has been reduce to a kiosk with the only other having to pay the bills by selling stuff toys, other trinkets.

Knox OZone.

It was terrible when it wasn't owned by Knox and it's terrible under Westfield. The only difference is when it wasn't owned by Westfield you had a very large selection of Asian dining and Indian food.

Westfields plans are to reinvent the old Myer building into the very thing they have with their latest expansion plans.

OZone when first built was great, during summer but during winter it's a rainy hellhole as nobody took into account shelter for people walking from shop to shop.

OZone layout has always been a bit confusing as that concrete block was originally the previous company that owned Knox shopping center and even then it was really only used as a way to the old theater's

There's really not much to say about Knox, You can't really find anything you want anymore because they keep leaving because of the rent and it doesn't help that the place has been driven into the ground.

In conclusion. Lower your dang rent, Ask big chains to come in.. Get your NQR on a lower floor in a medium size shop. Get your Woolworths maybe even an Aldi. Find your Target, Then your Big-W. Get restaurants in.. The Cuckoo restaurant would be wonderful to have at Knox, Pay them to come to knox if you need to. Games workshop,

Further more your menu, for Kiosks allow them to have an overhead menu. Do you know how annoying it is to not be able to find a menu because of westfields odd rules?

Get a playground built in your food court and get rid of the 2 dollar shop in the food court, it never made sense to be there only back in the 1990s when it was an entertainment store like time-zone but even then it never made money. Get a restaurant in there.

Oh and finally. PAY FOR THE GOD DANG TRAM TO KNOX. Westfield makes a ton of money just pay for the line to be extended, Don't complain just do it because then everyone can catch the tram into Melbourne from your center and if people are catching the tram people are going to your center.
