It was absolutely amazing!
I booked the one day surfing tour and got way more than I expected.
At first I was a bit afraid of the waves and riptides but as soon as I got into the water and got wet I realized that as long as Olli is with me, there is nothing to be afraid of.
Ollis enthusiasm for riding even bigger and harder waves soon infected me too. The way he helped me getting into every position made me feel so good.
He taught me how to ride them right and I tried my best to follow his instructions and do as Olli wanted me to do.
He really taught me a lesson (my bruised knees and sore muscles the day after speak for themselves!) and I could never thank him enough for that day.
It was/he was truly amazing and I‘m really looking forward to when we meet again.

I went with a tour organized by RMIT Uni and had a great time! Ollie, Jamie and Natalie were very kind and tried to give us individual feedback, although we were a big group. I managed to stand up a couple of times although the conditions were a bit hard. Surfing has become my favourite hobby since that day so I definitely recommend the lessons! :)

I’d bought this for my daughter for Xmas a couple years ago & finally booked it in. My daughter really enjoyed most of it & Jamie was a great instructor. Very patient & great conversationalist. Great day out for both of us.

I decided to live with no regrets, or as close as I could manage. In a moment of bravado, I booked a private lesson to learn to surf. I seemed to be saying all summer it was something I wish I had tried. So at the ripe experienced age of 60+' decided it was now or never. I booked a private lesson to help eliminate moments of foolishness. Well, I had a 3 hour session and the second last attempt I sort of stood up for a nano second. Up until then, I had nothing but fun, impregnated with a few moments of frustration ..but what a day! That spit second was worth it. Chantalle, my instructor was encouraging and non judgmental. The Office team were professional, friendly and accommodating. I have booked in for another lesson and just can't wait. Why did I wait so long? Even if I never master this, the experience has been awesome.

My friend and I had never surfed before and the lesson was great! With a little help we were able to catch a few waves within a few minutes! It was only my friend and I and another woman, so it was almost a private lesson which was great! Unfortunately the rest of the trip did not meet expectation. Provided “lunch” was a 6-inch subway sandwich (we had no choice what was on it), a granola bar, and a juice box. We were starving after all that surfing! There was no morning or afternoon refreshments as promised and no special discounts or VIP experience was offered to us (the website said there would be) in Surf City nor the museum. We were also under the impression we would get one location for each of the two surfing lesson, which was not the case. Also our booking was difficult because the website does not offer an option for Melbourne pick up for less than 5 people. This makes sense because sending a van out would be costly if only a few needed the transfer, but it did not allow an option for us to mark if we did need a transfer should there be enough people on that day. The company and employees were very helpful and had speedy responses but seemed very disorganized. Overall we had a good time but maybe would recommend looking into a different company.

We had our first surfing lesson with Great Ocean Road Surf Tours the other day. It was so fun - the instructor, Jesse, was a great teacher and super friendly. We had plenty of time in the water, with provided boards and wetsuits (all in excellent condition). The company was good at keeping in touch regarding where to meet and confirming things. Would definitely use them again.

I am an experienced surfer and I wanted to try surfing in Melbourne, but needed equipment and didn’t know where to go. Great ocean road surf tours took great care of me. They emailed me the day before to confirm the details. I was staying in Melbourne so I had to take the train from downtown Melbourne to Waurn Ponds, $24 round trip. It would have been nice to have those details in the email, but it wasn’t too difficult to fiigure out. Public transportation in Melbourne is excellent fortunately.
Ry picked me up at Waurn Ponds rail station, showed me around several surf spots, and picked the best place based on my skill level and the conditions. He was professional, friendly, an excellent instructor and guide, and genuinely a really nice guy! I had a blast. 2.5 hour lesson in the morning, lunch sandwiches on the beach, then 2.5 hours again in the afternoon. Both were group lessons, but the crowd was small fortunately. Then a quick view of Bells beach and a chance to shop some of the local surf shops in the afternoon. Thanks to Ry for making it a truly fantastic experience!

I had such an amazing time. Our instructor was really good with explaining and helping me to learn how to surf.
I had been surfing before overseas and with friends but the I strvtor with torque surf was so much better.
He explained what I was doing wrong whilst I was in the water and showed me the technique whilst in the water and not just on the sand.
Will be back to do more classes.

Ebony was an absolute legend of a teacher. I went surfing for the first time a few weeks back on my own and bombed... terribly! After some onshore guidance from Ebony on what to do, bam... first wave I was straight up. Literally didn't even get my hair wet till 4 or 5 waves later, was up and surfing 90% of the time all day. Big thanks to her professionalism and great guidance. Thanks for an awesome experience !

Nope, we went there a couple of times with friends and the service offered was spotless. I have to add that we never deal with Alistair though so I cannot help you there. What happened exactly?
