Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Breamlea beach was an unspoilt stretch of seafront ideal for walks and relaxing. Beach was bordered by sand dunes and the lookout deck constructed among the dunes area gave more than a 180-degree view of the ocean front and the landmass. The area was not patrolled by lifesaving units; therefore, whether it was designated as a safe area for swimming was a question. However, there was a signpost indicating that lifesaving service will be in operation when the red and yellow flags are displayed in “Bancoora beach” about 1.1 Km away. An area towards the left of the beach was strewn with Basalt type rocks extending towards the sea with many small sea anemones and a variety of Molluscs like snails and clams were attached to the rocks. We spotted a Sea Urchin too. Among the rocks were small pools formed by trapped seawater due to sand barriers. They were constantly getting filled by the rolling waves. It was an interesting natural ecosystem for observation. Waves were not strong, so the sea was safe enough to tread in.

Even though I have visited this area many times, Breamlea beach has always just been a dot on the map. We decided to take a detour on our way to Barwon Head and...wow. The beach is close to the ample carpark and there is a lookout on the way. Just a whole lot of blue: sky and water. The rocks looked a bit rugged but the sand was pristine. I counted one other person around.

Popular with locals and a renowned dog beach. Has a lookout near car park. Good mild surf beach and popular in summer due to proximity of caravan park. Worth a visit
