- LDGSecret Harbour, Australia805 contributionsHeaps of booksThought we would check this place out & there’s plenty of books for all ages. Quite quirky art on the wall , but we were looking for local picturesque artwork unfortunately. But was worth a look at all the different categories of books , little play area for young ones and you can even sit & read a book .Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 31 March 2024
- Paula19 contributionsGreat bookshop!Great bookshop with an excellent selection of titles and friendly staff. Easy to find Australian authors section if you're like me and concentrating on those while on holiday here. Comfy chairs as well if there's anyone in your group who doesn't want to bookshop.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 17 April 2024

Stepping through the door into a world of beautiful and creative artworks, and then to view such a superb selection of books was just so satisfying. The lovely lady was so easy to talk with and made us feel so welcome. It is worth the drive from Melbourne to visit this bookshop; we only wish we had more time to indulge.Visited May 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 17 May 2024
- pakabayAdelaide, Australia2,521 contributionsNice vibeReally nice vibe about this place, casual, eclectic and just a tiny bit crazy. I know it’s for the kids, but I had a real urge to get up on the stage/play area and muck about. Some nice community art, collections and a very diverse selection of books. My only negative is that I couldn’t see prices for most books, and I wasn’t about to ask about every book I picked up. Must be the way my head works - or doesn’t! New & used books, I wasn’t sure what was going on, but loved the space.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 13 June 2024

Blarney Books and Art is the most magical place in Port Fairy! Jo has created a welcoming, colourful and really interesting, fun space with an eclectic collection of books, drawings, art, sculpture and lots of thingy-majigs. Looking forward to lots more book readings, poetry events, and the annual Biblio Art exhibition.
Port Fairy would not be the same without Blarney!

Blarney is my favourite book shop and art gallery in Australia. Although I can’t get there in person often as I live in SA, it always stands out as the best collection of new and used books. The art is great, the owners generous with their advice and welcoming. If you can get there, do!

Out for a stroll in Port Fairy I came across this great gallery and bookshop. It’s a little bit hidden from the main shopping area but well worth a look . Large range of new and secondhand books in an eclectic setting. Gallery efforts just wonderful!

The best book shop ever! So much variety in second hand books. I never walk out with less than five books and the lady who works in the shop is excellent. Always happy to have a chat about her books she’s an excellent ambassador for her shop. Love this bookshop to death. The best thing about holidays in Port Fairy.
