About
We are a family-friendly bookshop (both new and secondhand) and art gallery. Exhibitions change regularly. We are also the home of the annual book art competition, the Biblio Art Prize. We also host music, performances and book talks - please email us if you have any ideas! We encourage people to come in and spend time browsing, settle on a couch with a book, play a game of chess, give the pianola a go, and we have a great train track set for the kids! Open daily through January. Thus - Mon 11-5 all other times.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow, what an amazing place to visit, great space enjoy a little quiet time, an opportunity for parents and children to relax in reading corner, be immersed in the art, listen to the background music, and of course discover the magic of a book.

Out for a stroll in Port Fairy I came across this great gallery and bookshop. It’s a little bit hidden from the main shopping area but well worth a look . Large range of new and secondhand books in an eclectic setting. Gallery efforts just wonderful!

Blarney Books and Art is the most magical place in Port Fairy! Jo has created a welcoming, colourful and really interesting, fun space with an eclectic collection of books, drawings, art, sculpture and lots of thingy-majigs. Looking forward to lots more book readings, poetry events, and the annual Biblio Art exhibition.
Port Fairy would not be the same without Blarney!

I visit Port Fairy every year and an outing to Blarney is always on my list of must-dos. The gallery space is small but packed full of an incredible variety of beautiful art. The bookshop is, again, packed with rows and rows of new and secondhand books.
But, aside from the books and art, there are many delightful, colourful, inviting, quirky spaces to discover and explore.
Step into this incredible building for five minutes or five hours. Your soul will be fuller for the experience.

Blarney Books had everything I need. It even allows you to grab a coffee, pull up a chair and read. The art work I found this year had improved though as they say it is all in the eye of the beholder. I went back on Monday to find it was closed as I was not aware it is not open all week.

Blarney is my favourite book shop and art gallery in Australia. Although I can’t get there in person often as I live in SA, it always stands out as the best collection of new and used books. The art is great, the owners generous with their advice and welcoming. If you can get there, do!
