We are a bookshop (both secondhand and new) and an art space. Exhibitions change regularly. We are also the home of the annual book art competition. Recently we have added a stage to our shop, so we are now able to host music, performances and book talks - please email us if you have any ideas! We encourage people to come in and spend time browsing, settle on a couch with a book, play a game of chess, give the piano / pianola a go, and we have a great train track set for the kids! Open daily through January. Thus - Mon 11-4 all other times.

If I were a book, I'd like to to be stacked in the shelves of Blarney Books & Art. Gorgeous environment with inspiration and art to keep you peacefully content for hours. Amazing space, suited to anybody young and old and especially those with a creative bone. A testament to the owner, I love your hub!!

If ever I'm short of a good detective novel, I always pop in to see what's available. Jo is often available to give advice if I'm at a loose end come present time and got me out of trouble a number of times. I have also been to a number of art functions there, these are always interesting and often... More

We dropped into here whilst visiting Port Fairy and bought a few books for ourselves and our child. A visually very interesting looking interior and a good selection of books. There is often art on display but there wasn't any when we visited.

We have stayed in Port Fairy every Christmas holidays for over 10 years and I only discovered this sublime bookshop a couple of years ago, as it is slightly away from the main shopping area - it is a slice of book lover's heaven! I routinely spend about an hour there each visit and you are never made to feel... More

We were presently surprised when stepped into the Blarney. We were attracted by the colorful decoration inside which is very different from the outside look, a brown brick building. Immediately, I heard someone mentioned "Wow! Don't judge a book by its cover!" The art gallery and colorful decorations are very inviting. The staffs are kind and helpful. We spent about... More

Dear Rachel, Thank you for such a great review! And you're exactly right - we shouldn't be judged on our council-approved exterior appearance, although it does make it extra surprising when you walk inside! Kindest wishes, Jo. More
