Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The address for this cemetery is incorrect. It's back up the highway nearer the town centre. Very well maintained. Amazing history of the Port Fairy Area.

Go back in time to see burial places for people from al over Ireland in the 1800s. The cemetery oozes history and is well presented. The children's area is emotionally moving.

Well maintained cemetery. Called in to see the grandparents who passed on recently. Well organised and understated place.

I love wandering around old cemeteries and this was no exception. Th graves are truly amazing and you can spend at least an hour walking around and taking in the history of those who stood at Port Fairy before us. A great history lesson for people of all ages.

This is a neat and tidy cemetery with lots of history attached to it. Located ob the Highway as you head towards Portland it is interesting to spend time and walk around the very old graves of ealry residents in the town.

Went on a ghost tour of the cemetery, great to hear about the ghosts of Port Fairy and the stories of various characters of the town.

We visited the cemetery looking for stray Scots! What we found was an interesting exercise in genealogy. So many Irish names, as well as Scots, and the headstones make such fascinating reading. The cemetery is well laid out & attractive & well worth a visit if you're interested in history.

A fascinating tour though the history of the area. Worth a visit if you like that sort of thing. Makes you realise just how lucky we are to live in this day and age. Life was so much harder in the past.
