    Fantastic trail
Walked and walked and walked! Griffith Island precinct offered us a great trail one going up to the end of the pier and another turning off somewhere halfway and extending to the light house. We did both the trails with real fun seeing interesting bird species on the way. Views of the ocean from the pier and lighthouse precinct were both attractive. It was very pleasing and relaxing.

    Nature at its finest
It helped we had a stunning day weather wise when we did this. Such diversity of nature and colour. There’s an easy walk to the lighthouse at just over 1km in one direction a longer walk in the other direction or do the whole loop (which we did).

    Pleasant walk
Good: Great place to visit. The lighthouse is a bit small but the views are fantastic. There’s a causeway out to the east of the island which runs next to the sea and people fishing. Volcanic rocks around the lighthouse and some sandy areas. The east path is easy and not overgrown like the west. We saw a kangaroo! Other: Good parking.

A great walk! Saw wallabies and lots of shorebirds. Do the longer walk! It is worth it and not that arduous

A great walk. Wheelchair friendly with a friend to push! We loved walking via the beach. An easy walk and a must do. Wear a hat if a warm day

Loved the island, walked a 3k lap around the outside and soaked up the island, the beach and the sun! It's a must if heading to Port fairy

Really easy but interesting walk along the sea towards the lighthouse. Timing is key if you want to see (live) shearwaters.

A great walk that isn't too long or arduous. Interesting to see the basalt rocks by the lighthouse. We also saw black wallabies grazing alongside the walk.

Enjoyed reading about the Island and walking around it before we went to dinner. Water is very clear either side of the initial pathways, and the exposed side has interesting rocks (volcanic) and little beaches. The wallabies were undisturbed by the few of us walking along, the birdlife was plentiful and we saw a rat scrambling across the rocks (which they have laid 1080 poison for - I assume so they don't deplete the mutton bird nests of eggs).
We finished the walk with the sun quite low and the birds twittering away. Enjoyable.

This is a very accessible Lighthouse. It just a gentle stroll along the upper reaches of the Moyne River. The path is wide and shared with bikes.
