Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

While not showcasing life changing views I'd recommend stopping here as it gives a very good overview of the town of Port Campbell and its charming little inlet. You get a very good vibe of the place from here.

It would be best to visit this as you head westwards as it is harder to turn into the carpark if you are travelling in an easterly direction.

Can skip this lookout unless you have time to. Nothing amazing hence would not recommend as there are so many other nicer place.

Port Campbell is such a great place to stay and explore. The lookout gives you a great view over the beach and the town and is easy enough to get to (it is a bunch of stairs but its not too hard)

Great drive to the lookout and not far from tow . Gives you a good idea of the layout of the town and the opportunity for some great photos of the bay

This lookout is a must do when in Port Campbell. The lookout can be accessed from either from the Port Campbell bridge or the highway.

Great views for the town and surrounding area.

My wife and I stopped here for a look during our drive from Lorne to Peterborough, as part of our holiday at The Great Ocean Road for three nights.

We wanted to see places that we did not visit before in the past.

This lookout is small and offers views of the small coastal town of Port Campbell.

The Port Campbell Lookout is pretty easy to find. As you are heading west along the Great Ocean Rd just after you leave Port Campbell and go up the hill, around a corner, and there it is, a sign saying Port Campbell Lookout just as the road bends back the other way. It's probably a bit trickier going the other way, having to turn across the oncoming traffic with the bends in the road and stuff it's not great. If you are heading east then it's probably better to carry on into Port Campbell and do a loop around the roundabout and come back the other way. It's really not far, wouldn't take much more than an extra minute or so.

Well, ya gotta stop and have a look, don't ya? How else ya gonna know?

I hadn't read any reviews or had it recommended, but I was here, it was there, time was tracking well for me at that point, so I pulled over to have a look. There's a small car park, maybe 6 or 8 spaces, not more than a dozen I'm pretty sure. It's a short walk from the car park to the lookout.

It's a pretty good view from the top of the cliff opposite Port Campbell. The little bay with its little pier and little crane, the little beach, the little grassy reserve, the little row of tall pines and the little town layed out on its little grid. There's even a lovely looking little suspension bridge from the town across to the steps running up from the bottom of the cliff. It would be a great walk from the town up to the lookout. It's also part of a longer coastal walk. I hadn't known about any of that. Perhaps next time I'll make sure it's own the itinerary.

I didn't stay there long. Had a look, took a couple of photos, oh, watched as a small flock of Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos flew languidly past, and then took off in search of more things to walk to, look at, and photograph.

Coming from Warrnambool direction towards Port Campbell you will notice a sign to your right before you head down into town and that is where this lookout is. There is a path that you can also follow into town from here... if you feel inclined to walk the steps. The views of the town and jetty are quite good here.

It's a lovely place to go for a short walk before heading into the town. Although if you have mobility issues you will not head down the path too far before you encounter steps... nevertheless, part of it is achievable if you want to stretch your legs for a wee bit.

This is where you take a photo to share with your friends on social media just to remind them of how hard you are doing it while on vacation. :)

There are many better along the Great Ocean Road, but worth a look if staying in Port Campbell. A few surfers, but nothing of consequence to look at really.

On our way for sunset at the Twelve Apostles we dropped into Port Campbell for dinner. It’s a little town but with a few restaurants and motels and hostels. A quiet little town with a beach. A pleasant place to walk around and relax.
