About
The best place to buy truly special handmade and locally designed souvenirs on the Great Ocean Road. Spence a.k.a Sue Younis is a local textile artist and milliner who employs other crafty locals to help her produce limited edition ranges of tea cosies, aprons, bags, toys and more. Spence's daughter Clare designs a growing range of 12 Apostles and Great Ocean Road inspired souvenirs as well as a broader Australiana influenced paper range. Spence Australia realises that our visitors are looking for mementoes that are designed and made in Australia. We support other Australian makers and try to keep the majority of our production within the local community. We hope every visitor feels welcome in our shop and our community. As I type, Spence is turning up the stereo so that Abba is loud enough to make the handmade soaps shake. An international visitor is singing along and dancing with a local lady named Sylvia who knits our tea cosies. Introverts need not worry- this isn't an everyday occurrence. As well as our own products, We stock: Thurlby Herb Farm Products, Otway Handmade Soaps, Loosha Candles, Gift of Seeds, Red Tractor Designs, Lily Belle Rose Jewellery and much more.

We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I needed some earrings and found a lovely selection of everyday ones for $14.50. Love them.
My daughter's hunt for a Secret Santa for a female in her 20's easily solved with a little cloth bag of goat's milk bath salts with a little ceramic spoon for $19.95.
If you need beautifully made clothes and accessories for small children, this is the place to come.
It's also good to know your money is supporting local women.

Thanks Vicky. How great is that goats milk bath soak? Our kids range is expanding thanks to a new addition to the family. We hope you can come back to see our new products in the near future x

Dropped in here for a Christmas in July present and found exactly what I wanted. Staff were lovely and very helpful. The store is nicely laid out with plenty of original gift ideas. Love that so many things are handmade or homemade.
Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking out the front.

We're so glad you had such a positive experience. Thankyou for such a detailed review 🙂 especially for reminding us to advertise that we're accessible to wheelchair users (on days that the adjoining cafe is open). We can't wait to see you again.

This family owned business is a ‘must’ when in Port Campbell. The art work is all created by the owner’s daughter and it is totally fantastic. The owner is friendly, warm and knowledgeable. Don’t walk past!!

So glad we took the time to pop into this shop while we were in Port Campbell. So many gorgeous items that were generally handmade or from local shops and suppliers. The lady in the shop was absolutely delightful too, very proud of her local area and happy to chat.

I love Spence. I always pop in when I’m in Port Campbell to stock up on unique and funky cards, yummy condiments, unusual and interesting gifts (check out the “seed cards”), read the Red Tractor tea towels and just breathe in the heavenly smell of the place.
