Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pretty, well maintained foreshore great for picnics. Plenty of parking and room to spread out, would be packed in the Summer. Nice walk along beach, to town, or out to the little jetty. Good place to take a break from driving. and have a rest.

Port Campbell is a pleasant place to visit and surrounding area is stunning. Do stop there when driving the Great Ocean Road, this marvel of the Australian coast.

Apart from a view out to sea there was not a lot here. A few interesting notices about shipwrecks but that was all.

It's a must to visit Port Campbell via the Great Ocean Road. Whether it's a place to stop for a few nights or just passing through, take the time to go to foreshore and check it out.
The beach is lovely and nice place to take those fish and chips to eat. Watch the seagulls as they are pretty clever at coaxing you out of a chip or two.
Toilets are nearby. Good parking. Great for kids. Nice amount of shops to explore. Wheelchair friendly.

Visited Wednesday 28th February. The foreshore and harbour still look the same as they did back in the 1960's, the fishing fleet has gone and the shops in the main street have changed but it's still a safe place to have a swim in the ocean.

After 3 hours on the road to get to the 12 Apostles, Port Campbell offered a number of food and drink options. we chose the 12 rocks cafe where the food was very good and so was the service. beware the petrol prices are the highest we have seen anywhere in NSW and Victoria. in contrast the food prices were reasonable. the best thing in the village is the plaque explaining the building of the Great Ocean Road.
