Ventilation and covid safe measures were not in practice at this venue. It was Impossible to socially distance with too many people inside the venue, we felt trapped once inside and unable to get out. Some rooms were clearly marked “1 family group only” and yet there were often 3 or 4 families crammed into a small space. I note that someone made similar comments 6 months ago, and management responded to say that they would take the feedback on board, but it appears that they have not made any changes despite saying they would. Their staff should be enforcing the safety measures but they were not.

Was a fun experience for the whole family, spent in total about 90 mins there without rushing. Some great exhibits and really interesting for adults as well as kids. Really loved the room where the floor isn't flat and water runs "uphill". $118 for 2 adults and 2 kids was far too much for what you get, very overpriced and catering (obviously) to the tourist market. It should be priced $40-50 cheaper. It's a shame it's overpriced because being a Melbourne local we will never come back and we could have see ourselves doing it regularly for the kids.

Came here with my young cousins. It had been at least 15 years since I had last been here and yet most of it seemed to be exactly the same. Aside from the prices which were much higher. We had fun but I don't think the experience was worth the cost. A lot of the exhibits in the illusion/puzzle section were out of order and looked like they had probably been out of order for months, maybe years?
It was lucky we got there right as it opened as there weren't many people there but by the time we left it was packed. So many people!
The Mini Golf was pretty good with some quite interesting holes.
We had lunch at the cafe and it was some of the most overpriced rubbish I have ever seen.

I’m from the U.K. & took my grandchildren (6 & 8 years) the puzzle room and magic room were ok but some of the exhibits weren’t working . We found the maze boring , just lots of lanes surrounded by high wooden fences . It was difficult to do given the fierce heat so we didn’t complete it as there was no shade anywhere within the maze
We were very disappointed to find you had to pay extra for the crazy golf and the sky trail , which is a rip off in my view

Too expensive. Spent 45 minutes there. $118 for a family ticket is far too much. Couldn’t preorder tickets online, only one staff member on the counter, another staff member on the other computer doing orders for the cafe and a line out to the car park. We spent more time in the line out the front than we did in there.

Fun for the family, if a bit overpriced and dated. The staff are friendly and helpful, the magic manor and puzzle island are entertaining and certainly fill in the time if it’s raining or cold outside. The outdoor maze is a bit frustrating - leave plenty of time to complete and don’t attempt in the rain! The kids had fun!

Thanks for the review; we are pleased you had a good time. I am sorry to hear that you felt that you did not get your moneys worth while you were here at A Maze'N Things. Our ticket prices reflect the amount of activities you can engage with (which are abundant), as well as having enough of our trained staff working, cleaning and assisting to make it a great experience for everyone.

Somewhat of a Philip Island institution. Lots of familiarity with what I saw there over 20yrs ago and now the kids are as fascinated as I was. Good way to spend a couple of hours traversing through a variety of rooms full of numerous tricks and then finish off in a small wooden maze. In addition has a decent mini golf course for the kids.
Highly recommended.

My 9 years old twins loved the skytrail
The staff were all friendly, especially Jane was amazing.
The Children were so scared and petrified but Jane guided them through the whole time and was very patient.
By the end of it they're hanging off the sides and laughing.
Well worth the money for an experienced.
Thanks Jane.

Mini golf with young kids - area is a bit dated and needs some TLC. A few potential areas for injury to young children.
Hole 9 needs speeding up as it holds up too many players following.

We love A Maze N' Things! It made our mini holiday worth it! Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Love all the activities, puzzles and the magic room is awesome to look at!
The puzzles were very entertaining and challenging especially the jail treasure thing. Staff was very helpful and gave us information and instructions. It was very fun!
The best part is the maze! My husband and I together with our little one (10 months old son) took the maze as a challenge. We were so into it as we find the 4 flags! It was very challenging; best maze we had encounter.
The funny thing happened was we were so into the maze that we were still there near the closing time trying to finished it. We got locked up. Lol we had to call the reception to let them know we were still inside the maze. It was so funny, we had a good laugh with the staff!
Make sure to visit this place when you have a holiday in Phillip Island! Worth the ticket! To all the staff, thank you! We definitely love our experience there!

Is this place suitable for a wet and rainy day? Are most attractions and activities indoors or so outdoors?
Written 11 August 2018
Yes, the bigger and better part of the activities are indoor, though we also have an outdoor minigolf, maze and Skytrail.

we have about 1.5 hrs including lunch there.. we might have another 1hrs after touring another place..
would like to check if it's worth exploring the place?
is the Magic Show ticket, entrance to the Magic Manor?
the other tickets are all bundled which we don't have time to explore..
outdoor high elements is also not suitable for us..

You could do A Maze'N Things in 1.5 hours - its the kind of place where the amount of time you spend, and how quickly you go through, is up to you. You can go through quickly or get distracted (like we did as we went through the time machine 3x it was sooo funny). We just did puzzle island, magic manor and the maze as it was raining on and off the day we went. The magic show wasn't on at times that worked for us. We went there to fill in a wet morning and ended up staying a lot longer than we expected as our 12 and 11 year old were really enjoying it.
I would leave off the outdoor maze if you are on time restrictions (just do the indoor stuff)... as the maze took us a while to find all 4 flags!

Hi is there any benefit to booking online as I see you don’t book a specific day or time.?

Can we bring in our own food? or are there cafes in the park?
Written 16 May 2017
There is a cafe, but the food looks a bit ordinary. I would recommend bringing your own food and eating near the playground. I brought food to eat outdoors and it wasn't an issue.

Hi Pauline. Though my Heritage is Dutch unfortunately I am not fluent so please forgive my English answer. Most of our customers are older but very young children still have a good time. Under 4yo are free of charge. We have a Childrens playground and free play area for the very young. Thanks Geoff
