Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing set up and very informative commentary. Disappointing to only see a couple of penguins and because we were seated at the back at the station, our children couldn’t see the penguins coming up from the beach because of the adults in front. The bright screens of the people’s phones in front was very annoying too.

Best penguin tour I've been on, and I've done a few. Laura our guide for the night was very pleasant and had soooo much information to tell us. You board the bus in the heart of Bicheno Main Street and they take you to a private beach. After a brief introduction, you then go to various locations learning more and more about the penguins and the location you were visiting. The finale to it all is sitting on the dunes watching the penguins come up to the burrows from the sea. They literally walk straight past you, sometimes through your legs as they scurry off to feed their young. It is done very well and it is not commercialised like so many other tours I've been on. You are out there for an hour and a half approx and they take you back to the pickup location in town Well done Laura and the rest of the team at the Bicheno Penguin Tours.

The tour, like most other attractions in Tasmania, focuses on the conservation of wildlife, and we are very glad to have taken this tour instead of going out to see the penguins on our own.

The tour was professionally run and our guide was very knowledgeable. More importantly, she made sure that we did not disturb or do anything that would harm/scare the penguins while we were watching them. These are things which we wouldn't have known had we gone to see the penguins without a guided tour (e.g. shining white light at them and chasing after them).

We were brought to a spot on the beach exclusive to the tour where we saw many penguins (it was breeding season)! Red lights were installed so that we could see the penguins. The kids love it!

Penguins waddle straight past your feet up the beach for the night. The penguins are in their natural habitat and visitors are asked to stay still and let the penguins go where they choose. The night we went we saw group after group of penguins climb up the beach and into the dunes for the night. Such a wonderful experience to see them without a fake zoo like environment but doing what they naturally do without human interference.
