Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Discovered this place early in our holiday and because of the peach beer on tap we had to go back several times. Great selection of beer, wines and spirits from Tasmania. The platters are excellent for a light lunch also.

Having read previous reviews, there's not much more to add...
The range of wines is excellent and it is good to see some of the smaller producers who don't have cellar doors getting a look in. We sat outside (thankfully the weather permitted) and enjoyed bubbles and a pinot noir with a platter. Engaged some of the passers-by (mostly tourists) in conversation which was great fun.
The platter was lovely, with enough lavosh and crackers for all the things on it, which is not always the case. The jalapeno pickles were particularly well received.
Will be going again next time we are in the area.

Unfortunately it was raining when I arrived in Bicheno however we clocked the wine tasting at the farm shed. Lovely inside and not just a variety of wine but whiskey & Gin also. Lovely wee shop with local goods. Great place for tasting or a drink

My wife and I stumbled on this gem whilst wandering the streets of Bicheno. Whilst feeling a little underwhelmed by Bicheno itself, this place turned it around. Some beautiful wines, great knowledge and information on all the winery areas. A great idea, particularly for the winery’s that don’t have a cellar door. We ended up buying a bottle each and some of their nice stemless glasses. The art of display was also nice, a truely unique spot definitely worth a visit.

We spent a couple of nights Bicheno and this place was definitely the standard out. We had a great wine tasting, with 10 different wines between the two of us. All of the wines are local and many from small wineries without a cellar door, so you would struggle to find them anywhere else. I have to give a shout out to On the edge a Petit Verdot that I absolutely loved, there’s probably very little left after my visit, so I wish you luck in trying it.
We left to have dinner and returned to pick up the wine we had purchased earlier, there was some lovely acoustic live music, so why not stay for an after dinner drink? Three drinks later, more wine purchased we finally left, very happy and slightly inebriated.
We loved this place so much and will definitely be back when we are back in the area.

The Farm Shed was a classy act with some interesting Tasmanian crafts and of course, excellent East CoastTasmanian wines. Smart marketing and well done with professional and friendly staff--and very good if not expensive wines.

Definitely a worthwhile place to visit. Staff very welcoming and helpful, especially their knowledge of the various wines stocked. I only tasted a couple as I was the skipper. I enjoyed both but considered them pricey but ok for boutique wineries and purchased a bottle for later enjoyment. Good selection of distillery products on the shelves. Eyecatching display of crafts from local artisans.

Thanks Dan. Yes, the vineyards in our region are, mostly, definitely in the boutique category, as are most of those in Tasmania. They are not generally huge plantings and use hands rather than machines to maximise the quality rather than quantity of grapes produced, which in turn makes for wines of unique character and high quality.

This is a place not to be missed when visiting Bicheno. They have an exceptional knowledge of their local wines, gin and whiskey. They were very accommodating our different tastes in wine. We enjoyed our tasting and their service. Thanks
