We absolutely loved it. It was perfect. Andrew (our skipper) was informative, engaging and a brilliant skipper and the opportunity to swim and interact with wild dolphins was worth the price we paid and some. People should be queuing round the corner to do this. The weather was a bit grim but the quality of the experience wasn’t affected at all (we appreciated the efforts of the team to push the time back to try and get a better weather window though).

Today we were lucky enough to experience a swim with Dolphins that we will remember forever.
Our hosts were amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, and knew exactly where to go to enable us to live out a dream that we’ve had for so time now.
Unlike previous experiences we have had elsewhere, it was a smaller group, so we were not fighting for space in the water and thus didn’t feel unsafe. We were supported and guided throughout the entire experience
The experience delivered on every promise, communication was clear and the cost was not prohibitive.
We would highly recommend Kangaroo Island Marine Adventures as your hosts for your swim with dolphins adventure, when on Kangaroo Island!!!

What an amazing experience. Andrew the host was informative and relaxed. The boat was in excellent condition and easy to get on and off the back. There was 80-100 dolphins and had plenty of time in the warm water to view and enjoy. Would certainly go again when next back in KI

An amazing experience for the whole family, the water was shallow and felt really safe, we were so close to the dolphins. Its a small group on each trip, so lots of opportunities for everyone to swim, and see the dolphins, the crew took brilliant care of my daughter who was too nervous to swim, but still had a wonderful afternoon and great views of the dolphins from the boat. I would highly recommend, and we will definitely go out again on our next trip to KI

This tour was a highlight of our trip to Kangaroo Island. We swam with about 60 dolphins on our trip, including many babies. The dolphins are clearly comfortable around the boat and swimmers, but you are most definitely among wild animals. The tour is a great way to learn a bit about KI and its northern coast. We loved every second of it!

Great experience. Swam with dolphins including pup less than week old. Very knowledgeable Skipper and guide who knew where to find pod but also ensure the wild nature and habitat of the animals.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Crew were clearly passionate and knowledgeable about the area and had a keen eye for spotting wildlife. Amazing getting to swim with so many dolphins who were pretty unbothered by our presence so didn't feel intrusive. Lovely cup of tea provided while watching the dolphins from the deck, very smooth ride on the boat too. Unforgettable! Thanks Andy, Gerry and team

What a special experience. Apparently the dolphins are always in the place we went too. Just 9 of us and about 20 dolphins. I am not a confident swimmer, but I felt very safe and every effort was made so I got right next to this marvellous animals. Would highly recommend

Seeing and swimming with the dolphins is so awesome. To experience wild dolphins in their natural habitat is truly something else. Andrew our skipper was really cool. Very knowledgeable and heaps of fun. It's a must do when I was Kangaroo Island. Couldn't recommend it enough.
Our only criticism was... it was an extremely hot day and waiting at the marina with no shade and no where to sit was a little uncomfortable.
Apart from that we had the best time.

The most incredible experience! Exceeded my expectations for how close and frequently we got to the dolphins. Andrew and his team were fun, kind, helpful and knowledgeable and a delight to spend the morning with! A must do in KI, we can’t wait to go again!

Hi I'm just looking into accomodation for our trip to KI. Do your tours depart from Kingscote? We're coming in April, how far in advance would we need to book? Thanks
Written 26 January 2019
Kingscote is 12 mins drive from Emu Bay. Theres no shops or places to eat at Emu Bay. Kingscote is the best place to stay there’s everything you need there inc a supermarket. Enjoy!

We have booked a tour at 9:00am. It says the tour gets back at ‘midday’ does that mean noon or 12:00pm? We’re on a tight schedule and need a better timeline. Also, what time does the sun set in January 24th? (We’re not supposed to drive after dark) thanks!
Written 4 January 2019
Perhaps you can arrange transportation through the company to assure yourselves that you will not be driving after dark. But, it is likely that the company has an afternoon group they will be meeting so they will not intentionally delay your return to shore after your morning expedition. Enjoy the experience and the slowed pace of being on the water for a wonderful experience.

Is there any way to do this without having a car and arriving in Penneshaw? What's the difference with the 2 Hour Dolphin Swim from Penneshaw. Do you get just as close to the dolphins?
Written 12 October 2018
Hi Tani ... & thanks for your question. firstly can i say we run a 3 hr dolphin swim tour (island explorer ) that allows you the time to enjoy a truly amazing experience & a good amount of time with the dolphins you just cant rush a dolphin swim the dolphins dont like it and they simply wont interact at the same level. we know this having worked with our dolphins for over 12 years. our vessel energizer is a large custom built jetboat offering plenty of room to move around or just relax in comfortable lounge type seating being a jetboat is very important to us & very safe for swimmers & our dolpins because there are no nasty propellers to swim around that could cause harm to our dolphins or swimmers & allows us to be close to you at all times whilst in the water the jets also have a more sympathetic acoustic pattern in the water of which the dolphins enjoy very much we provide all snorkeling gear hot tea / coffee & biscuits & very easy in out of water with twin rear boarding ladders, the vessel being roomy allows for multiple photo opportunities to get the best possible dolphin shots, sealink run a shuttle service to kingscote and there are a few smaller taxi operators offering transfers .... regards Andrew

If staying in Kingscote, do you need a car to get to the tour departure point?
Written 12 July 2016
Yes, you will. Our departure point was Emu Bay and you will need to drive to that. I'm not sure about public transportation since we had a car. I would also try calling these folks -- we had trouble contacting them over email as well.

We have "swum with dolphins" while snorkeling in La Parousse Bay on Maui but never got close as they were chased by some snorkels and dove at least 30 feet below us when passing by. We could hear and watch them, but from some distance. How does your experience compare with this?
Written 11 September 2015
Hi Karen , the morning departure is the better time 9 am , this experience delivers what you are looking for , a truly unique experience with wild dolphins in there environment .... you will love it .......
