In our half day tour, we visited a winery, KIS, the lavender farm and had lunch. We enjoyed all of our experiences. Chris, our driver and guide, was friendly, cheerful and interesting to listen to.

Our driver Chris was prompt and had a sound knowledge of the attractions we visited. If you call it a food and wine trail there should be more food. The tour operator assumed the tour of the Beehive would be available without making a booking. The honey tasting was not available and the tour of the honey production was not provided. The visit to the lavender farm did not include a tour. There was an opportunity to purchase items from the shop. Afternoon tea was provided and we had an enormous scone between the two of us. Our visit to Turner’s eucalyptus Distillery was interesting. We watched a video about the history and production processes. We were able to sample the products. This stop also included an apple cider tasting. Then onto Kangaroo Island Spirits to sample a range of gin. Bay of Shoals vineyard for a wine tasting of 5 varieties of wine. On our return to our hotel the driver took us to the historic mulberry tree and gave a brief history of European settlement on the island.

This tour was one of the highlights of the trip, thanks to Gethin! Although much of the island had been closed due to the fire damage, this tour was still an unforgettable part of our trip. Gethin's knowledge of the island was fascinating. He showed us many places we wouldn't have found on our own and allowed gave us plenty of time to take photos. I'm so glad we went with this tour instead of trying to drive the island on our own!

Great day with our guide Kevin - informative, friendly and funny and an all round "good bloke!" Knows so much about the island, its people and history. Amazed at how many places we were able to fit into one day without feeling rushed. Got to sample lots of the islands produce and support the small businesses who really need our support right now - so we highly encourage everyone to get out and book a trip to KI and recommend Kangaroo Island Trails to get around.

MS Albatros tendered us to Penneshaw on 23. February 2020, where we were received from Riggsy, the best guide you can wish for an amazing day! He knew so much about the island, its history and culture and about life on this beautiful part of Australia and we were overwhelmed to see all the beauties but also the dreadful devastation from the bushfires. Although one of your highlight Flinders Chase was closed, your choosen itinerary was great. We saw all possible sights and got all the knowledge from Riggsy. We want to thank you for your flexibility and for that wonderful day we will not forget!!!!

Thankyou so much for your understanding. It was such a tragic time on the island and we so much wanted you to see as much as we could offer. We are so happy that you still got to come and see our island and perhaps one day you can come back again in better days ahead. Thank you for your support. All the tour operators on the island appreciate it so much.
