Hired our bikes from Riesling Trail Bike Hire on Warenda Road in Clare. Really convenient as it's basically right on the trail. NIce guy, good bikes, reasonably priced at $25 for 4 hours, and water provided. We only went as far as the next little...More

This trail is well maintained and offers amazing views of the Clare Valley. Stop and visit some wineries at a leisurely or challenge yourself with some if the steep side tracks. Most of the trail is relatively flat.

We had a really nice afternoon walking and biking as a family (north from Clare) and I’d have liked to have gone the opposite way tomorrow but I don’t think it’s varied enough for two days. It’s not as picturesque as I was expecting and...More

Try and plan your ride to go uphill on the first direction and then you can enjoy rolling home downhill on your return. We only ride bikes occasionally, but managed to cover a large section of the trail over 2 days. We included a few...More

Being an old railway line the grade is fairly easy and the track was in excellent condition. A bit much camber really sometimes meaning you were biking on the side of quite a slope. There are a few signs explaining various points of interest. Good...More

A group of 34 Queenslanders came to Clare Valley specifically to walk the Trail . It was a huge success. The path has been constructed over the dismantled old railway line which in early days carried copper ore from the Burren mine ( which incidentally...More
