Clare Valley Experiences is a small family-owned business and offers a fabulous way for everyone in a party to be able to enjoy a day of great food and wine tasting. David collected our party of four from our accommodation and drove us to a selection of wineries, introducing us to some beautiful wines from some small, family owned wineries as well as visiting some better known cellar doors. A delicious lunch at Paulette Winery was a highlight. Perched on the top of a ridge, the verandah restaurant boasts magnificent views. David was knowledgeable, good fun, very accommodating and generous with his time. I would thoroughly recommend Clare Valley Experiences to anyone visiting the Clare Valley.

We could not have been happier to have chosen David Cowperthwaite from Clare Valley Experiences to guide us around the Clare Valley. With 20+ years experience in the Valley, we knew we were onto a good thing with David, not only was he extremely knowledgeable, David is very entertaining, down to earth and made it a day about “us”. With David’s sound recommendations and our own research (I work in the wine industry), the wineries we visited, 7 in total, yes we got to 7 wineries in 5 hours and not once did we feel rushed, we were able to discover all the very different terroir and styles the Clare Valley has to offer! 🍷🍷 Thank you David for a fantastic 5 hours with you and the beautiful and very accommodating Cellar Door staff and owners. We highly recommend David from Clare Valley Experiences if you are wanting the perfect winery tour in the CV! #1!

David Cowperthwaite of Clare Valley Experiences provided our group of four with a great food and wine adventure, starting with a lunch platter and wine tasting, another couple of wine tastings, and ending with desert and wine tasting and then just one more quick wine tasting on the way back to our accommodation. David's knowledge of the region and the vineyards is extraordinary and he has a great way of treating his guests. Highly recommended.

We had a private tour with Dave of several cellar doors in Clare Valley over a Wednesday afternoon and Thursday. Thursday morning he arranged a bike rental and pick up for us along the Reisling Trail, all included in our tour fee. (Normally you must return the bikes to the rental location.) He then met us at a cellar door early afternoon and took us to a few more cellar doors. Delicious lunches were included both days. Most of the cellars we visited do not export to the U.S. and many only sell from their cellar door so the tastings were quite a treat. I doubt we would have found them on our own. Dave was very flexible and responsive to our interests and questions. He also provided nice touches like fruit, cheese & crackers in the van to munch on between stops.
